I mean, the news of him retiring came out... what, two month or so ago? Why does it need to be repeated when he said it himself.
http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereve...ky-hatton-ready-to-call-time-on-boxing-career Bit of a **** press conference but pretty unlikely he'd come back now and it's a chance for him to try and promote a few of his upcoming cards a little (or a lickle)
True. It's pretty much well known that he's retired unofficially, so yeah, it'll be a bit crappy to call a press conference to tell us something we already know. But I can't see it being anything else. He's certainly not making a comeback. Maybe an official retirement allows him to go out of the sport properly, rather than fading into obscurity like Naseem did. It'll also give him a chance to unveil and promote himself as a full-time boxing promoter to the casuals who perhaps aren't aware of his new job.
http://www.*****.net/2011/07/ricky-hatton-to-announce-retirement-at.html Looks like retirement hardly a shock.
Probably me just butthurt he's not fighting again but it's so self centered to announce his retirement in a press conference when he's already ****ing announced it. Let it go, Ricky. We don't care.
