It sounds like to me Hatton doesnt want to retire anytime soon.

at 147 i would love to see him fight cotto but thats not going to happen. That would be one hell of a fight though. But isnt hatton a litle small for 147 (his frame is too small)?

Considering Hatton has only ever lossed to Mayweather and Pacquiao he gets a lot of stick. How many fighters these days fight fighters who are better than them? Only fighters with nothing to lose, and Hatton had an awful lot to lose in these fights. Props to him, I hope he comes back and fights Marquez.

Spot On. At The Moment I am Fifty Fifty whether its a good move or not. It depends on wheher he his focused or he just wants another payday.

I dont hatton but he needs to stop blaming the trainer and his camp. He got knocked out for the simple reason he ran out like a madman. With a better plan he still would of lost. He just needs to accept he was not on pacman's level.

From what I remember Hatton was talking about how good his camp was.

Agreed. He gets so much **** on here for fighting bums when he fought the two best of the generation and I believe Tszyu was #3p4p.

He got overated by the British public but gets very underated on here.

Hatton got a good hiding. That should be the end of it. This might be a bad example but Judah got sparked out in 2 rounds but he still went on to win titles at WW.

Ricky probably should retire but he never should have hired that cagey, crackhead Mayweather. How anyone could even spend 5 minutes with that mental midget is beyond me. Floyd didn't even care much about Hatton. It was just a payday.

Drop his ass in there with Cotto. They both need redeeming fights. That would be a bash each other to **** extravaganza.

I agree, Hatton is a good guy & good fighter, his idol was Duran, a man who came to America & fought the best, Ricky tried to emulate that & only came up short vs the p4p no1 twice.... he deserves FAR more respect than he gets these days, far more.

I agree. He also didn't "have" to ever put on boxing gloves in the first place, so I'm not really sure what point you think that you are making.

What's that called again? The "Calzaghe"? Oh no wait, the "Calzaghe" is what you just said in addition to padding your record by choosing to take the only upper tier fights in your career when the opponents are old. Silly me.

Yeah, breaking up Ricky's visually exciting and not-at-all-against-the-rules wrestling is so biased.

Right hatton got a good hiding but so as other fighters but the hate hatton gets is sometimes unjustified.

I wish he wouldn't blame Floyd snr so much for the loss. It makes him look like a sore loser and a fool. I'm a Hatton fan, but he was the guy in the ring when he got KO'd. If he knew he was burning himself out in training, he should have opened his mouth, ****, he hasn't got a problem openin' the damn thing when he is fillin' it with beer or pies.

If he comes back and fights Urango, what's that going to prove? Beating a fighter you beat comfortably years before?

If he is going to come back, he needs a decent test but not too demanding fight before he goes on to challenge someone like Khan or Bradley, where admittedly he will get punched into a vegetative state, but at least he will stop thinking he can come back and become P4P#1

Hang them up Rick and hope Malignaggi becomes a beast which will elavate your standing.

I'm no fan of Hatton or his style, but his only losses are against the 2 current P4Pers. However onesided or painful these losses were, there's no real shame in losing to these guys.
