If this is a joke, you got me. If not.......... I like Ricky. But there are alot of inaccuracies in your post. Collazzo was not the man and Hatton was very lucky to win that fight, there was nothing soundly about it. I thought he won, but it easily could have gone the other way. Some British Hatton fans are insane when it comes to the Mayweather fight. They were so used to him being able to rush and rough opponents (i.e. Zoo)that they began to think it was normal and acceptable. It wasn't. Without that he had very little chance of beating Mayweather. All Cortez did was make them fight rather than wrestle. When they had to fight, Hatton got outclassed. Although props to him for taking the big challenging fights. Although he was the man for a long time, it wasn't a particularly strong division. When he did step up the comp, you saw what happened. He doesn't come close to top 100 let alone top 4.
hahha made my day. You just can't be serious. Hatton should be numero uno in the ATG list. The way he hugged Collazo for 12 rounds and almost made me to stop watching boxing hahah. Nice one! Keep up the good work
atsch Ouch man. My man Ricky is a loveable guy with a great attitude and he's so fun to watch every time he fights. But an ATG his is definitely not. From the 'arguments' you made I seriously thought you were joking. First of all you can forget about "ALL TIME" and just compare him to the greatest 140 pounders in history and you'll find The Hitman severely lacking. Second, Collazo was NOT the best guy at 147 at the time and Ricky did NOT soundly beat him. Ricky was being outboxed in that fight and was almost KO'd in the last round of a very close match that a lot of people thought should have gone to Collazo. Third, Mayweather KO'd Hatton. He wouldn't have beat Mayweather if there was NO referee, Mayweather wrote the blueprint on how to beat Hatton. He got him out of there and was ahead on the cards at the time. Fourth, I know its your opinion and everything, but to rank Arturo Gatti (rest his soul) above Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Sweet Pea Whitaker, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Willie Pepp etc etc... you are out of your GD mind... Let alone ranking Hatton up there anywhere near those guys. End of rant. :hi:
Yes he was looking when he threw. He saw Hatton's guard drop and threw the punch. He had his head turned away by the time the punch actually landed yes, but that was because he turned to get power in the hook which he already had the timing and distance for. Guys I get it he is not talking boxing he is talking MMA. he is number 4 behind jason ali, phil robinson and tony gatti. Hatton was a great wrestler but he has to work on his stand up.
agreed. But that last sentence about cortez is complete bull****, but yea may would win regardless of any of the circumstances tho.
