What pissed me off with Hatton, is how far up his own arse he became. Hatton always! made excuses for his losses, his shortcomings to.

First it was Graham's fault, then it was Mayweather sr fault, nothing to do with Ricky taking no notice of what they were trying to tell him of coarse, I mean how many times did Hatton say after interviews, Billy was telling me to do that and that, but I got a bit gun ho?

 

I'm not a Ricky fanatic, but the three noted collectively don't generate half the interest for UK boxing Ricky did in his prime... :deal

To be fair though, if you're going to be critical about this, you're going to have to have the same standards for a lot of fighters.

Pacquiao blamed the gloves, Wlad said he was drugged, as did Foreman, Lewis blamed the altitude, McGuigan blamed the heat, Duran blamed his diet, Hearns blamed a massage and Froch blamed a ****ing volcano! That's just the way fighters are. To get to world level, you've got to have a bit of arrogance and truly believe you're the best in the world and when things go wrong, even the proudest of warriors can't always admit it. Hatton is no different to many fighters in this regard. In fact, I think you'd be struggling to find more than a handful of guys who have lost and, in talking about the fight, didn't say "...but" a few times.

I'm not saying you're wrong. Obviously Hatton did put some blame on his trainers and who knows whether he was right or not? Maybe Graham wasn't good enough and maybe Mayweather didn't care enough? We don't know, really, but I certainly think that if you're going to be annoyed at Hatton for excusing his losses, there's going to be plenty of guys who you have to criticise for the same reason.

 

correct.Tihs is the point where i myself started to think"greedy *******".Saw loads of rickys fights, one of my greatest nights was at MEN for tyzsu fight, but in end, talkin in the third person way"rickyhatton this, ricky hatton that" got on my tits.He was extreemly well matched by warren, got good names at right time, tackie, phillips,to be fair, excting go forward fighter,tho never really had a plan b when the pressure was on.Yes he boxed nicely against mailignanni, but he could never change his plan during a tough fight when it all on top.However, world champ, brought lot of joy, and wish him best of luck for future.He loves the sport and hopefully will put on some great shows this year.

 

The collazo fight was decent and Castillo was a really good scrap while it lasted. The may weather fight was decent as far as floyd fights go. Tszyu was a god fight.

I never mentioned or discussed the individual qualities did I? I talked about the interest created and by far, Hatton has it over all three combined.

Froch is a fine fighter, but as interest goes - yyaaaawwnnn...

 

Ricky did well he almost won the pound for pound belt title twice.

 

He was winning by a country mile against Pacquiao and was clearly beating Mayweather. Come on, how many times did he manage to hit Mayweather's fist with his head???????
