no. manny doesn't belong at that weight. I would favour manny over hatton but you can't put him number one for beating a guy that started boxing a little over 100 pounds.

No but if he was to achieve those two victories his standing within could NEVER be questioned as it is by some now.
Some of the comments made about him are a complete joke.....zero skill, wrestler ect

**** no. Hatton is still the bigger, stronger man at his accustomed weight.

Whereas Pac is punching way above his weight.

Why wouldn't I? After all the talk how well PacMan fought at WW, don't even try the **** that he's not a legitimate LWW... Calzaghe will retire, JMM won't fight a P4P-er, so PacMan-Hatton will be the only P4P battle for the top spot. Therefore the winner will have a strong argument to be considered (or remain) as the best P4P fighter.

No. Douglas beat Tyson but he didn't become P4P #1.

if hatton beats him clearly, i would put him about #3. remember they're a very similar size, and hatton would have wins over a p4p #1, #3 and #8 on his record and just 1 loss.

If he beat Pac then JMM or beat a top welter then yes, otherwise a pac victory would put him top 5 only.

For Hatton to be P4P King he`ll need to beat:

    # Pacquiao
    # JMM
    # PBF II

then his record will stand up against the rest.

I dont even consider him a top 10 P4P fighter and Im a Floyd Mayweather fan. I'd rate Williams above Hatton right now. Him beating Pac-man would mean little to me.

Hatton is a great guy, good for boxing and I admire his fan base and dedication to the sport. I have no bad words for Hatton whats not to like!

I have to admit hatton put to sleep all those jokes about the UK fans putting 90k people int he seats. hattons fight of 58k was britians biggets boxing even since ww2.

If he does all that it very well may exceed the rest. I think Hatton will have claim to p4p #1 if he beats Manny and than PBF

Right now, Hatton is rated no. 10 p4p. And dont forget that Margo and Cotto are 6 and 8 respectively and will be fighting eachother in June. I can't see Hatton jumping from 10 all the way to no. 1 on the strength of beating Pac.
