Ricky Hatton Road To Redemptions On FREE ch498 at 10pm

I've never seen Senchenko fight, but he looks sharp on the pads. Nice jabs. Does he have a good counter left-hook? That punch would be a nightmare for Hatton.

I do feel sorry for Hatton. He got picked apart by Mayweather and blown away by Pac. I'm not sure if the comeback is a good idea, though -- his punch resistance doesn't seem to be as good as it was in his prime, and it's too late in his career to add good defence to his style. Maybe he should just focus on a couple of areas, like blocking or evading the lead hook as he comes in, more head movement and stopping the way he telegraphs his leaping left.

His girlfriend seems great though from what was shown.

 

I don't think this was the right choice of opponent for a comeback fight after so many years out. It could get very tough for him and I wouldn't like to see him absorb a lot of punishment. He's got a beautiful family that need him in good health and by the looks of it he has already deteriorated a fair bit. He just doesn't sound, look or move the same way. Hope he wins and hangs them up to be honest, but he will no doubt have people in his ear talking about big fights.

 

Having watched the documentary I fear for Hatton. You can never tell much from Pad work, but Hatton looked so slow and laboured compared to Senchenko. I don't see how he wins this fight.

 

Only question I have is this. My hallway needs painting, how much will Bob charge?

? He didn't imply he beat them all or anything, I think he just meant that he fought the best and has nothing left to prove. Which is true, this comeback is a bad idea.
