    During the Sky Sports Dream Fight broadcast Hatton was part of the broadcast team :

    Sky Sports Broadcaster: Poor old Ricky, probably seeing his big money fight with Oscar de la Hoya go out of the window.

    Ricky Hatton: Well, not really. Pound for pound he proved once again that he's the #1 in the sport. I still get my dream to fight the best pound for pound fighter in the world.

    Sky Sports Broadcaster:You against Pacquiao, you mean?

    Ricky Hatton: Yeah, exactly. I might admit that we're looking at a modern day phenomenon at Manny Pacquiao. He won his 1st world title at flyweight, to do that to Oscar de la Hoya. Phenomenon is a word that is used often in boxing, but that was just outstanding.

    Modern Day Great, I would say.

    Sky Sports Broadcaster: I don't think anyone is arguing with you Ricky, thats what he is. It is amazing what Pacquiao has done.

    Look this aint fair right now, I have repetitive strain injury in my index finger. But Im a warrior, if he thinks Pac is a Phenomenon then he hasnt seen my pecking technique

    The only things that annoy me about Hatton.......

    1. He speaks in the third person.

    2. He feels P4P #1 is a title, thus transferrable by beating someone.

    If he had beaten Floyd, he would have had a very valid case, but beating Manny (who has generally fought much lower) will only push him into the top 5.
