Or should that be Vicky Fatton?:D

Of course Im just joking fellow british ESB members, not about Ricky being cheesed off though:nono

Thats right, Ricky when asked about his 20000+ fans going over to the USA & only a fraction of them having tickets said he was really upset, & 'proper cheesed off to be honest'! on SSN today.

So, the question I ask is this. Is Ricky hurting for his fans cos they cant see the fight live? Or is Ricky so used to a partizan crowd cheering him on that hes a bit pissed off his fans wont 'own the place' come fight night to help him psyche out Mayweather?

Im just asking, innocently of course;)

I think he's genuinely pissed off his fans have got to either pay over the odds or miss out on watching the fight live. The reason I say this is that after the 4000 tickets that Team Hatton got, the 3000 that GBP kept and ones that the MGM give the high rollers, most of the rest (and some of the GBP/MGM allocation) have gone to touts/ dealers (of one discription or the other) and will end up in Hattons fans hands anyway, just at an increased cost to the buyer.

Out of 17,000 tickets you'll still have 10,000 noisy Hatton fans easily.

Support is a major thing for Ricky. Imagine if you were doing something so defining and pivotal and none of your people could be there to witness it with you.

When you are facing Floyd Mayweather, having the crowd on your side helps.

Hatton should of negotiated a better deal then. Must of been more concerned about the zeros on the contract.

    Hope he beats Floyd though.:D

The fact of the matter is, he accepted a million or so more, and deliberately did his fans over. As if making them travel to vegas wasn't bad enough.

He chose to fight on box office instead of ITV (with extra exposure). Just as well as millions would have tuned in to see him lose against Mayweather.

It was his dream to fight in vegas...what kind of rubbish dream was that. When he was a child did he imagine fighting in casinos in front of a few thousand people? Hatton has failed himself.

Hatton has been Americanised Into think Vegas Is a huge place to fight at like most boxing fans think.

It's only because the casinos pay them loads Is the reason they fight there. Mos t of that money comes off daft gamblers.

As has already been discussed at lengths in other threads here, the ticket allocation for brits is a farce.

The venue isn't big enough for a huge fight like this and Hattons team would have been at a disadvantage in dealing with an american based promoter who, first and foremost, is going to look after their own interests. Hatton simply wouldn't have had the upper hand in negotiations for the fight - I think he is genuinely upset for his fans and I don't agree with the suggestion of some that he has somehow 'sold out' on us.

Come December 8th there will still be thousands of Hatton fans in Vegas and even if they can't get hold of tickets for the fight itself I am sure they will make the most of the experience and hope they still get to enjoy the spectacle in some way - even if it is just at the closed circuit tv venues, etc.
