Horrible performance..most of his shots were wild, wreckless, innacurate, and most importantly ineffective. He really looks s age is catching up with him. he had his moment s but nothing really that big. He looked tired after the third round. As I write this he gets knocked down from a body shot........
He should not feel any shame! I mean the man fought floyd mayweather and Pacquiao back to back, Was a two weight champion and is a multi millionaire. He should hold his head high. But his boxing career is done for sure. That interview was worrying.
Thought his shots were quite inaccurate. He'd land a bomb every once in a while but never nothing major, Senchenko was sharper and came back well after Paulie loss. Hatton should retire, If it helps for him maybe fight a " can " to go out on a win.
what about hatton with an american trainer. someone who understands his style and can make the best of it. i hate for ricky to go out like this, thats bull ****.
if he dont retire (which judging by his interview i think he will) what he's gonna need to do is go down to 140lbs and slowly work into fighting again, maybe start off at 6-8 round fights he looked horribly rusty which is to be expected after not fighting for 3 & half years.
I know he's been neglecting himself during his 3 and a half year lay-off, but he really did look bad. Even worse than i expected actually. His timing was off, he neglected the jab, there was literally zero head movement and he didn't go to the body as much as i expected. He seemed a little too eager and was loading up with ridiculous haymaker left hooks. The thing that really shocked me though was his complete inability to judge distance. Like timing, that's something that comes with activity and regular practice so maybe it's just down to the lay-off, but it was really poor. He was loading up with some ridiculous shots from miles out of range and i was surprised that Senchenko didn't time him with his own left hook on the way in. There was no jab or head movement to get inside either, nothing. He'd simply load up on the left hook from out of range, miss and and then hold on. He was on the way to losing the fight even before the stoppage imo.
He should understand that those loses are just business and he's loved all over the world. Makes stuff way more serious that it is.
Ricky is done as a fighter - seen him around manchester twice last year and the lad was clinically obese at 15 stone - to get down to 147 must have taken a terrible toll on his durability and strength and I was shocked by how old he looks and how easily he marks up , That interview afterwards does not bode well for his state of mind after this - I just hope to God he doesnt slide back down to where he was after the Pac Ko in 2009 . They could dig up an opponent for him to go out on a win but he's so shot now I would worry that he could end up badly ko'd by some journeyman looking for a big scalp .
Err, you actually follow boxing? Hatton was with an american trainer > Floyd Mayweather Sr. - got KO'd in the Pac fight
