Definitely not. Everyone faces difficulties in life and with fame the difficulties can be overwhelming depending on the person. If you're not facing anything in your life and can't understand others difficulties then you're either premature(below 12) or don't have a life to begin with.

    Fighting C-level opponents?kosta tszyu?

Ricky was one of the best JWW.and don't say kosta was past his prime.ricky was simply just better and bad matchup for kosta.there was no moment at kosta's career where he would win ricky. Styles makes fights.only ATG fighters mayweather and pacquiao could beat ricky,so you have to be hell of a fighter to beat ricky

Ricky only lost senchenko, and you are truly hater if you count that loss something.ricky was totally shot at that point.nobody counts that loss, and if you count you have to be ******.99% of people knew before the fight ricky would lose,i didn't have any interest to see that fight.

Same reason that ricky "retired" againts pacquaio?he was not simply at that level.
And what you think "prime" kosta would have done to ricky?nothing. Ricky was just afwul matchup for kosta.it was not a boxing clinic it was pressuring clinic and no matter what version of kosta ricky have fought there is nothint that indicates that kosta would win.

and maybe ricky was past his prime also?or maybe too green?magically fighters turn in one fight past his prime?especially if losing.

Ricky only beat c level fighters WTF Tszyu Castillo, Malignaggi, not quality fighters, thats crap, the man is one of the nicest and down to earth fighters their was, Yes Ricky had his faults like the rest of us, but depression is a very serious problem that many people find hard to talk about, so such a high profile guy like Hatton coming out and talking about his problems will hopefully help other people in a similar situation. Leave Ricky alone you troll ******* There's only 1 Ricky Hatton

It could have been worse, Ricky could have ended up a nobody like Junior 'The Shitter' Witter

Ricky Hatton played multiple sports, he was even a kickboxer and footballer in his youth, and was good at every one of them, he may have binged on drink and junk food between fights, yet on fight night he had some of the best stamina in the sport, fighting at a gruelling high pace for 12 rounds. I think that makes him an athlete, maybe not a dedicated one, but certainly an athlete.

And you mention the drugs, Hatton started the drugs after his career was over and he was suffering from severe depression, he wasnt snorting between fights.

You say he took all of the shortcuts, well then you should respect the level the got to DESPITE the shortcuts shouldn't you? becoming p4p ranked and the best fighter in his division.

Silly, silly points you are making.

ah here we go with the revisionism, Tsyzu who was p4p ranked and THE MAN at light welterweight, Hatton deserves no credit for the win because Tszyu was passed it

Lazcano? Collazo? SENCHENKO?!?! Lazcano got whooped, Collazo almost won, but he didn't, despite the fact he was fighting Hatton outside Hattons best weight class, he still couldn't get the job done (must have been a British hometown decision...oh wait...)

and Senchenko doesn't even bare mentioning

I think we know your stance on Ricky Hatton

If by 'bad matchup' you mean the referee allowing Hatton to clinch, hold, wrestle, and hang off Tszyu like an Octopus then I guess you are right.
