While there may be some truth to this, more than one fight will be required to prove it. Collazo may have just had his number.
Well hatton was 149 in the ring v castillo, and pbf was 148 in the ring v de lahoya....Plus hatton has in previous fights been 156/157 in the ring even at 140.....I think these guys are the same size really..... Ricky seems to struggle with southpaws,we need to see ricky at 147 v someone natural at that weight and not southpaws or a small pbf to see if he can compete there.....remember he is very short and has a small reach with a pressure fighter style....we will see if he is like duran or just hatton..... For the record hearns would starch both of them on the same night.....
I remember before the fight, Manny Steward kept talking about how Collazo's style was all wrong for Hatton and he was right. Nonetheless, PBF is a faster, stronger and slicker boxer so Hatton fans will have more than one excuse to pick from after the fight:tong :tong
I actually had Collazo winning that fight by a point or two. I saw Collazo in the club about a week after the fight (a good friend of his promotes Hit List entertainment here in NYC) he was pissy drunk and telling me he had the chance of a lifetime but got to comfortable because he tought it was ridiculous how predictable Hatton was and how easy it was to hit him when he was not smothering your punches.....maybe it was the grey goose talking or maybe it was the truth. Who knows.:smoke
