    Stop talking ****. Those were the rankings from 2002 which prove you're full of it. Im not interested in the outcome of the fights as that was NOT the point. The point was your ridiculous aspersion that Magee was ranked ahead of Witter. Which was clearly NOT the case.

    he was in the british rankings, this is a fact, boxing monthly had rowland ahead of magee :lol: and magees two losses ta the time was a jobbing to teddy reid in a six rounder and an absolute robbery to paul burke, which magee avenged with a vengeance :lol::lol:

    chris eubank said magee burke 1 was the worst robbery hed ever seen n his life.

    the british ranking system had magee ahead of witter, just because boxing ****ing monthly didnt doesnt mean magee wasnt, he WAS, magee was set up for a fight against sharmba mitchell for the world title while witter was fighting laurie :lol::lol:

    I made it up? wow, seriously, you dont believe hatton said this? he was in thr gym, beside the ring, wearing a cap, as he said this, he then signed to fight magee afterwards, and was given the toughest fight of his career.

    at that point in his career I mean

    I dont need to. You're the one trawling boxrec and you're the one not capable of backing up ludicrous claims with a legitimate source. I backed up mine.     Seriously? Well **** me it MUST be true. Why dont you trot off and find a source sunshine......

    Anyway who cares. Whatever Hatton says is irrelevant. He said he wanted to fight Witter for the last 10 years. We know the outcome there dont we. fact is Witter was he's closest domestic foe and Hatton wanted no part of him.

    what spelling mistakes,? its clear you have never seen rowland fight thaxton or magee fight thaxton. hence the fact you called him rowlands, hes jason rowland, lthe guy who struggled with thaxton (fact, watch the damn fight) and got destroyed by hatton, magee was neither.

    a source? I believe its also a scene in one of hattons dvds, where its plainly hatton, plainly saying this, plainly before fighting magee, who was raned higher in the biritsh rankings than witter, ian darke and john rawling even said magee was a tougher fight for hatton than witter.

    WTF is the British ranking system??!?! I quote BOXING MONTHLY a well revered boxing publication thats been going for decades. And you're blabbering on about the "British Ranking System" some bull**** you just made up on the fly.:roll:
    Boxing Monthly and Boxing News both independently rank fighters. They have done for years.

    That hole you dug has now become a chasm. Magee set up for a fight with Mitchell? In what parallel universe mate? So you're actually going to compare an opponent that both Hatton and Witter fought. Whom Witter wiped out in 2 rounds in a WBO eliminator so he could get a shot at the title. Vs a fight that never happened that you made up in your head? Yup you're a Hatton fan alright.

    scura, im no nuthugger or trying to be a dick, but eamonn magee was CLEARLY not only the best light welter outside of hatton in your domestic scene, he was also ranked higher than witter, based mostly on how he utterly destroyed thaxton while hatton and rowland struggled.

    magee was commonwealth champion, witter was british, commonwealthis a step up from british, and magee ,unlike rowland, actually had no real losses on his record, and he gave hatton hell.

    boxing monthly is well revered.. yet they had rowland above witter and magee? why? because rowland was WBU champ beforehand :lol::lol::lol:
