I still fancy the chavez of the Pea, Holligan Randall and DLH fights to beat Hatton but Ricky has a good chance
Hatton has no chance against the Chavez that fought Haugen & Pea. He'd still get beaten against a post Whitaker Chavez, but the fight at least wouldn't be a massacre.
Hatton spread eagle in his familiar supine position..in fact, hatton post Mayweather and Pac could be used to illustrate the supine position in medical anatomy books.
Chavez by a long slow painful beating stopping Hatton around the 10th. '90-'92 Chavez would do the same exact thing as above but under 5 rounds.
Hatton does allot better against Chavez than he does against Mayweather/Pacquaio because Chavez isn't as quick so Hatton would get more shots of himself. Chavez is the more skilled operator and lands the better stuff, Hatton has advantages in footspeed and strength though and can match Chavez for workrate. Chavez UD 8-4 or 9-3 Hatton beats the '96 version though
Chavez after '96 simply didn't have the physical tools remaining to handle Prime Hatton. He'd get beaten to the punch, outworked, and decisively beaten. Before that, 94-95, its a good fight, where I will take Chavez's skill and experience close. Hatton could easily nick it on speed and athleticism, though. '92, '93, he had enough left to put it on Hatton and stop him. And it is important to remember Hatton was quite gifted, and he'd hit Chavez plenty. Even in the era's were Chavez wins decisively, he'd still take shots and have a bit of a scuffle on his hands.
I'd say this Chavez has enough fight left in him to TKO Hatton. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNnA-wwT_90[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_wRuhGPdoo[/ame]
