Witter would really have to put in the fight of his life to beat Hatton.I think Witter would end up being backed into a corner totaly knackered and stopped in about the 10th.A prime Hatton would just bring to much pressure for him.

Come off it. If it wasn't Witter, it would have been somebody else. I don't have anything against Witter, but the fact is a number of people are building him up to be something he is not in order to find a stick to beat Hatton with. I've even heard people comparing him to Mayweather which is absolutely comical. It's amazing how people can be so completely fooled by a fighter trying to get himself some free publicity off another's back by mouthing off to the press.

for a long time I used to think Witter would win, put part of me thinks this was down to the frustration of it not happening. I think Hatton wins this by wide UD

Why is everyone baging on about why the fight didn't happen, and not actually giving their views on who would win?

This thread is about how the fight would have gone

Flint, TFFP have you even answered the question?

Witter late round stoppage - maybe even the final round.

Hatton would batter him. With alot of ease. People are still disulosinal from the Pacquiao fight thinking Hatton was never anything special. If the Hatton that turned up against Tszyu faced any Witter he would stop him with ease.

Witter's too sharp for Hatton. Horrible match up for him. Witter stops him late.
Oh and with regards to Witters power, if he could floor N'dou then he could do the same to Hatton.

Thats just like saying if Hatton could take Zoos shots without getting dropped he could take Witters. Both statements are pretty simplistic ways of looking at a set of fights.

Why do we need to build up Witter?

He was a WBC champ, was at one point ranked #1 by Ring Magazine, and was clearly one of the best junior welters in the world and might well still be. And he's British...

    They are the facts! :hey

He was regarded as the number 2 by the British press.

Why would Hatton need to face him, he fought Mayweather instead and prior to that he had fought Tszyu imo they are fighters who Witter could only dream about being as good as.

Also who was calling for the Witter fight?

Steve Bunce and a few internet warriors like Betty and Scurla, apart from these Witter couldnt sell out a house, he was awful to watch, and overated to ****.

He beat Corley, Morua and Harris and then lost to Bradley hardly the stuff that legends are made of.

Also for his vaunted punch power he didnt once hurt Bradley yet Bradley was put down twice and hurt off a non puncher in his next fight.

As i said its like Sam Sexton calling Haye out at heavy, yes he may be the number 2 in Britain but that doesnt mean he warrants a shot.

In what fight except for when he was fighting f level opponents was Witter ever sharp?

His power is vastly overated and so to is his speed of foot. Yes he can change angles well but his punch output is next to nothing.

Hatton shamelessly ducked Witter. He knew Junior was likely to spark and expose him badly. That this man was allowed to get away with what he did, taking the **** out of the sport with his cherrypicked fights, it's a depressing reflection on the state of the sport today. The great fighters of yestertear wll be turining in their graves thinking about the mass fraud that the likes of Hatton are carrying out today.

Yeah but KT never really caught him with his best.
Witter twice hurt N'dou and (from what I remember) and flattened Harris.
The fact that Witter could punch at the highest level really shouldn't be up for debate.

If my previous post came across as a bit of a generalisation then I clearly didn't write it very well.:D

I don't care what anyone says, Witter has NEVER been World Class. Prime Hatton would ruin 'prime' Witter.
