This is a better can than Matthew v PBF. For a comeback fight it could be a great sell in Australia in a Stadium An IBO 147 title is not brilliant, but it is not a bad come back match. Fairly safe and would show how much he has left
Ndou by TKO. Good fight though but I think Matty will cry if his big brother has to beat the opponent he lost to.
Can't see it. Hatton has said he wants one more fight, theres no point in taking on an opponent like N'Dou.
I'm not that sure who he should fight. Is it definitely one more (assuming he returns) or is he open to carrying on and trying to rebuild his career?
He keeps saying its for 1 fight, fighters don't tend to retire if they've won their last fight. I just don't see a 'marking time' opponent like N'Dou figuring in Gattons plans at this stage of his career.
Yeah, not many guys say 'one more' and actually mean it, either.... win or lose. I'd rather see him give it away now, I worry when sportsmen/women start talking in this way, they may as well get out. If I'm being completely honest, I don't think he has enough mentally to get back to where he was, never mind add to his career. He has nothing to be ashamed of, either. Call it a day.
As much as I loved watching him in his prime I don't really want to see a comeback. If he was to comeback for one 'farewell' fight in the UK I'd like it to be against Katsidis in a UK stadium. Get Katsidis coming up in weight so Ricky would have the advantage. Can't think of anything more embarrasing than coming back to put the record straight and then taking another beating!
What a **** fight. If his brother has arguably beaten him then it's worthless. I hope we don't get another Lazcano fight. I don't mind those type of fights but not if you are out of the ring for god knows how long.
agree....not an attractive fight at all...fair enough there is history...but sometimes history can be boring!?
But he'd still do a better job on him even now As for the thread, Hatton UD. Ndou is a tough nut and even now he is still a handful, but Hatton is still a level above him even now.
