Hatton. Miguel Cotto was better overall but I think Ricky would have got to Cotto in a war.

 

The Hatton who fought Oliveira was beating anyone.

 

Prime for prime Cotto wins every time but in 2005 at 140lbs could go either way. If there is an impartial ref maybe Cotto by a very close decision.

 

I like Cotto Narrowly but as already stated, Hatton was a terror at 140

 

Would have been a great fight. I slightly favor the more complete fighter that Cotto was but Hatton certainly was a buzzsaw at that time.

One thing that Cotto could do that Tszyu couldn't is fight on the inside and with that counter left hook I could see him catching Hatton.

 

Think Cotto beats him well, except of course, if the fight is in Manchester with Diamond Dave Parriss refereeing

Travesty that Hatton-Cotto and Hatton-Witter weren’t made to be honest.

Nobody wanted to see Hatton face those weird guys like Maussa and Urango.

Cotto would keep it close, but Ricky was an animal at that weight.

Back then Cotto wasn't the complete article and making 140lbs was draining him making him vulnerable. So Hatton takes it in 2005.

But Cotto would go on to be a much more complete fighter and better fighter.
