Sorry but Bradley kills him. Hattons punch resistance is gone Best possible fight is against super featherweight living legend Juan Manuel Marquez It could be both of their farewell fights in front of a massive crowd at Wembley
Bit like Hatton Witter then Good fight for the division but i cant see Ricky taking a fight that is potentially risk with low reward.
Theres nothing wrong with Hattons punch resistance. He got hit by one of the best punchers in the game simple. That being said you have to look at the quality of his oppostion. He's not fought many punchers who could have really tested his chin. He doesnt have a chin of iron either but its respectable and he ate a few from Kostya but not cleanly. When you get hit cleanly and you dont see the punches coming you get knocked out. Saturdays fight aside i believe Bradley has the ability to do that as do alot of fighters in and around his weight because of his style and Hattons penchant for leading with his face.
Absolute bull****. 1. Prime Hatton took harder blows all night from Kostya 2. Non puncher Lazcano wobbled Ricky 3. Look how many shots it took Manny to get Diaz and Oscar out of there (id guess on close to 200) It took him all of 20 to get rid of Hatton, all of 5 to floor him. Sure. Nothing wrong with Ricky's punch resistance whatsoever atsch
What about Phillips Magee and Tackie who ALL wobbled Hatton. This is the FIGHT game. Fighters get hurt its as simple as that. How on earth you can use some pathetic maths such as that is beyond me. You talk as though boxing is consequential. If it was Froch wouldnt have beaten Taylor. Hatton got KO'ed by Manny early because he got hit cleanly thats what happens in boxing. If you think Hatton being in the ring with a bonafide puncher is concrete evidence for lack of punch resistance then i suggest you find another sport to follow.
You've replied to me yet failed to counter any of my 3 points I suggest it's YOU who needs to find a new sport kid
What? 1. Prime Hatton took harder blows all night from Kostya So what? 2. Non puncher Lazcano wobbled Ricky So what? 3. Look how many shots it took Manny to get Diaz and Oscar out of there (id guess on close to 200) It took him all of 20 to get rid of Hatton, all of 5 to floor him. So what? So your going to measure one performance of Hatton against another performance as concrete indication of lack of punch resistance? Was Douglas a better puncher than Holy because his KO over Tyson was more devastating than Holys? And how on earth can you quantify a bunch of punches Manny threw vs Diaz and DLH as evidence when neither DLH or Diaz were hit cleanly consistently and often with hard punches from the opening bell? Why would you compare one fighters peformance vs fighter A or Fighter B and then use that as some yard stick when DLH and Diaz are two entirely diffrent fighters? Wow honestly just wow.
Your answer to my first question is "so what?" Then i guess there's no point going any further. ****ing *******s atsch
Did you miss the rest of it? Or you only read the bits you wanted to read? Tell you what why dont you educate me as to your maths on this one as id love to know HOW Hattons win over Kostya has ANY bearing over his win against Lazcano.
Bradley would bash him up at this stage. I've had this feeling for a while unlike the bandwagon jumpers. Bradley is the real deal. He's not special, but in this division he's the best of the fighters that are actually going to fight each other. Pacquiao is not really in a division, he's a marquee fighter.
What the **** are you talking about? Only time i mentioned Tszyu was when i said he hit Ricky harder than Manny did all night yet he took it. And now you're trying to compare that to Lazcano? atsch Go to bed son
The problem is as you say Ricky got caught cleanly almost straight away. When Hatton caught Manny in the second he backed off and re-composed himself. I think if Manny had shipped as many shots as Hatton did he'd be wobblin' all over the shop. It's a hard fight to come to lack of punch resistance conclusion 'cos Manny was hittin' the bullseye so often. Then again in the fight with Malignaggi, he caught Ricky in the first cleanly and it showed, Lazcano had him holding too. There do 'seem' to be question marks on resistance.
