This thread started out, in favor of Gatti, to a massive turn to people calling everyone stupid for thinking Gatti stood a chance, and now were back to Gatti has a chance.

Gatti was vulnerable to the body. Gatti's been noticeably hurt to the body in several fights. Ward, Mayweather, DLH, Patterson dropped Gatti with a borderline shot that was called low. Other guys around 130-135 hurt Gatti with body shots.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if they had fought and Gatti was stopped by Hatton's body shots.

 

I can see this going either way but I'll take Hatton by KO. Damn shame this fight was never made.

This thread shows w/o a doubt that 1. The general forum is overrun with dumb posters 2. Gatti is the most overrated guy to ever lace em up.

Hatton would have stopped him in a VERY one sided fight. Be it in the UK, or in Atlantic City, wouldnt have mattered. Gatti would get flogged like the C fighter that he was.

 

Hatton by KO is the only possible outcome in this mismatch.

And who did Gatti beat? He also lost nine times, to some pretty mediocre opposition aswell as to the elites. I'm not saying Hatton is an ATG, but I don't see how comparing resumes is going to help Gatti's cause here.

I would also like to see how Gatti takes a Hatton shot to the ribcage.

 

cant see him winning by ko but perhaps some are thinking of a cuts stoppage win

personally i think this is a good fight between two of the most overrated boxers of recent times , that would be very close and in a series of three i would edge very slightly toward hatton by 2 fights to one

 

You are in no posistion to call me a fan boy when being blatantly biased towards Gatti whilst having the dude as you Avatar for a start.

Now.... you're little rant about Hatton not being elite is neither anything to do with my post nor does it factor in this fantasy match up. I rate Hatton just below Elite.... he was top of world class but fell just short of elite. But that's not the point i was making originally **** wit. The point i made is that you claimed Hatton lost to every elite fighter he fought and i was simply stating that it was irrelavent in this case because Gatti was never an elite fighter.

And again.... it doesn't drive me crazy that you think Gatti would KO Hatton at 140lbs... you just simply don't have an answer for the fact i responded that Hatton in his prime took full on right hands from Tszyu who hit a damn site harder than Gatti so your opinion of Gattis power breaking Hattons chin, is floored.....
