    Hatton was 30 - 0 , Garcia 24 - 0.

Hatton in my opinion had the better skills and was superior in speed , Garcia naturally bigger and possibly the bigger puncher.

I go Hatton on points pretty wide.

    Who you got?

Hatton, and wouldn't be surprised if he stopped him late. And I hate picking against Phillyboys

Hatton, though I think they're about equal in terms of skill set. Garcia's kind of sparing with his punches, though, and that means he could be out-worked by Hatton in enough rounds to secure the decision.

Hatton would win because he could fight. Speed is not a skill. Khan got by on skill but hatton could fight. when did khan win an exchange with a man his own size?

Garcia is technically a better puncher and makes less mistakes. Hatton faster, more intense higher workrate, stronger, hell of a body attack and decent feints to set up his attacks

Too early to say for Garcia, who knows how good or not so good he is really?

I like that Garcia is willing to take a few punches in order to land his own counter-punches, but I also fear for him because of it.

Khan is fast and Garcia probably felt there was no point in even trying to defend himself from his speed, but his leaky defense may eventually catch up to him, as it did to Ricky Hatton.

Garcia on paper does sound like a difficult match-up for Hatton due to his toughness and his willingness to trade punches. I'm not yet convinced by his overall skill however. I doubt he could win a decision over Hatton, he would have to lay him out and KO'ing Khan is not necessarily proof that he is a devastating puncher.

Breidis Prescott did not turn out so good.

Garcia is getting overrated for doing what Prescott did and what Maidana nearly did.

He's young, strong, tough, and seems to have decent power. He is NOT a huge puncher, and his skills at the top level are absolutely still lacking-He wings his shots, leaves his hands down, and when he's not out and out charging wounded prey, is prone to plod.

Hatton had speed, terrific footwork, excellent shot selection, was big and strong, and also had some power.

I see him as flat out better in most every category. Garcia has all the time in the world, but he is very much a developing champion who hasn't done much but crack an already weak chin. He gets credit for surviving Khan's onslaught from me, but he proved that his skillset needs work.

I doubt that version of Hatton goes life and death with a fat and well past prime Morales.

    I could be wrong though

i would love to see hatton go to work on a 140er as big as garcia, his body attack has made lesser men quit.
