Cortez allowed Mayweather to use his elbows, which is actually not allowed in boxing.

Hmmmm I dont think it would have made much difference, Hatton never looked like he could land flush, I think Hattons best chance was to ko PBF and he seemed to have no chance of doing that!

Watch round 8 and PBF was dominating him, landing hard flush right hands, landing left hooks, going to the body, Hatton didnt have one part of the fight where he took over so no way he was going to out point PBF.

His plan was just to rough him up and body punch and break him down (neither which worked) Good try Ricky but not this time nor in a rematch!

If Hatton was allowed to turn it into a wrestling match then he would of had some success, but he would of still tired by the 8th round. And from that point of Floyd would of outboxed and koed him like he did. I wouldnt even say Cortez did a bad job in this fight its the Calzaghe Hopkins fight that I had a big problem with

Even if Cortez allowed to do Ricky's dirty tactics on this match, still same end result will occur, Floyd still performs a good fight and will still knockout Hatton. Though I knew Mayweather again had this similar and boring boxing style on this fight, I think is just well befitting to use it against the fighting style of Ricky Hatton.

Ricky Hatton was screwed over by joe Cortez. Cortez made Hatton eat straight right hands all night. Cortez tripped Hatton in rd10 casuing him to walk right into the check hook which dropped him. Damn Cortez cost Ricky the fight.

How did Cortez make Hatton eat right hands? Did Cortez stop Hatton from using his world class head movement in the fight? :-(

Come on dude, plus from Round 8 PBF was taking Hatton to school!

You know a drunk clown ass brit is going to make one of these threads every 3 months or so. Kind of helpse the self esteem to think this bull****. Although if you watched the fight.lol You see Floyd did not need nor care if Cortez broke up the clinches. Hatton got out manuevered and Floyd was landing ALL of the punches in the clinch. I mean you can almost say Hatton landed less than 10-15 punches in the clinch. That is one or two per round. And its not like he did not get a chance to throw.. he threw more punches than Floyd. No excuses ***ites.

I don't think so. Mayweather would've just been landing more straights and would've taken him out much sooner in my opinion.

I could understand the complaints if it wasn't Ricky's one and only fight tactic to rush in and hold/wrestle. Fact is, Hatton had been used to these tactics going unchecked when they should have been addressed years earlier. Cortes may be a lot of things and has had bad nights over his career, but this is not one of them. His actions were the only thing that made the fight watchable. He made the fighters fight, not wrestle.

hattons style is to easy to pick off for a great fighter like floyd

the fight could have been in man citys stadium with an english ref and floyd still would have schooled him

It would go the distance and the score would be close.

The elbows were to pry off the man molesting hatton. Hatton played dirty and got the elbows as everyone who watched any bit of boxing knew Floyd would do. How the **** can your dumb ass complain about elbows when the only reason they were used is to pry off a dude grappling(illegal). Brush your damn teeth.
