Both high intensity pressure fighters at similar weights which would make for an exciting fight.. My money would be on hatton, hes a little bit bigger and stronger. Post who wins and why.
Ricky Hatton by UD or late TKO As you said, he's bigger and stronger. I think Diaz would play right into Hatton's hands by trading punches with him on the inside. Hatton would beat him up.
I just think Juan wouldnt have the same impact at 140 and his strength advantage would diminished greatly against a guy like Hatton. I think Rickys takes this easily, but it goes into the late rounds at least, probably go to the cards.
Its only 5 pounds, i hate **** about people stepping up in weight, **** me, the better boxers wins, not the guy who weights the most.
Who would the better fighter be in this case? Anyways, those 5 pounds make a big difference. Diaz is naturally a lightweight while Hatton is a strong light welterweight who usually weights 150+ on fight night.
I think Hatton would struggle to hold on to the baby bull!!! And id say Diaz is a better fighter , he has been soo impressive in his last few fight, im amazed how strong he looks at lightweigh and he keeps comin forward. i dont agree with you on the weight issue. soon enough we will have a weight class for every ****in pound from 100-200 pounds. Oh have have you heard, the SWM is the new MW :nut
Thats ridiculous. Diaz has the better jab, and is the better combination puncher. Both fight well on the inside. And Diaz is very big for 135 and could move up quite easily. Both guys have phenomanel work rates. This would be a back and forth war. Hatton and Diaz are both strong... Hatton is very hard to beat on the inside, but we saw that Collazo was effective from here when he held his high guard (which is exactly what diaz does). I think I would pick Hatton by a very close UD, but definitely no blow out. The weight differential is not that big a factor as some are making out.
Well Hatton is the better boxer AND the bigger one. It makes a difference Marcus when you are talking about the elite, these guys all train just as hard as each other, have all been boxing since they were kids, have all made a lot of sacrifices. Any advantage is an advantage. I agree a really good small guy will paste an average bigger guy 9 times out of 10 (eg Hopkins-Tarver, Jones-Ruiz, Mayweather-Baldomir) but when they are about as good as each other, a great big man will nearly always beat a great little man.
hatton is the better fighter. i dnt see diaz being ablee to beat KT or castillo hell he won't even fight CAS and wnated no part of Corrales .. **** diaz wouldn't take the fight
This post provided no analysis or reason for you pick. Saying "ass whooped" proves nothing. You are highly exagerating IMO.
Juan is technically better then hatton though IMO. Both had good amatuer careers. Juan has been more well rounded in his pro career. Hatton is quicker on his feet, but Juan is better defensively and has the faster combinations. Both are VERY strong in close quarters. Both have great work rates. Both have a good jab. I don't see how Hatton bullies him here? How do you see the fight playing out if Hatton is to thrash him?
Stuff it, I am going against the trend and picking diaz. I think he could beat Hatton at his own game. The weight difference will not play a major factor here. Close fight though, very close IMO.
