I'm so glad the majority of people are siding with Hatton in this fight. Everyone seems to forget how great his chin was and how high his workrate was. Prime for prime, Hatton would most likely take him out with a bodyshot, and if not he'd stand toe to toe with him and I think he'd break Maidana down either getting a UD or stopping him near the end of the fight. I think Maidana would definitely have good odds of hearing the final bell if a bodyshot didn't twat him, though.

    Great fight.

You claim Hatton is overrated, but you don't feel you are even slightly overrating Maidana?

Khan did have those advantages. Hatton would have intelligent pressure, he would tie Maidana up when he got the chance, he had power (Hatton and Khan's power is very comparable also).

Would Maidana get up from the bodyshot if Hatton had landed it? Keep in mind that Hatton would not stop going to the body!

Hatton would weaken him up and possibly KO him, but most likely a UD

Totally agree, it amazes me how people think that Hatton is slow , one dimensional and easy to hit.

Here is a simple point , Malignaggi had a higher percentage landing rate against Khan , Diaz and Cotto than he did Hatton.

Hatton possibly had the fastest feet in the 140 division, I would say only Mayweather outsped him there, even Zab was a touch behind. Meaning Hatton could get into the positions he wanted to.

Chin , come on a prime Hatton went toe to toe with Tszyu.

Maidana for all his raw power is basic and the fight with Kotelnik showed many of his flaws.

Whens the last time Maidana got KOd? Khans shot was perfect in every sense. Perfect placement. He also has more power than Hatton. Maidana went down winced then got back up and went back to work. Was Maidana a guy like Ortiz that folds under pressure then yes Hatton could beat him but Maidana would only come back stronger. He is like JMM in that way.

Come on now the Tsyu fight you cant use because he was wrestling Tsyu around and didnt give him the room to throw his straight punches. Maidana doesnt throw straight punches.

People make such a fuss about geting hurt. It seems like if u go down you are vulnerable and will get kod for sure. This is the fight game. Everyone goes down at some point. Well nearly everyone...

    You mean chest to chest??

He tried doing that with Collazo and he is not very heavy handed. He almost got KOd if it wasnt for the ref.

Prime Hatton had a solid beard and was an animal when it came to going to the body.

    Hatton takes this.

If we are talking Prime for Prime then its a no brainer

Hatton by stoppage or on pts but definitely a Hatton win without doubt, he is simply the better fighter no matter which way you look at it.

Maidana wouldnt like those body shots all night.

hatton would win a decision, that mauling style took alot out of the
guys at 140. he'd crowd maidana and land those uppercuts and hooks on the inside and maidana wouldn't be able to land those
big shots on the outside, and i've never seen much of an inside game
    from maidana

Hatton wouldnt have to keep Maidana off all night, it would be Maidana trying to keep Hatton off him, and i dont think he could, he'd be against the ropes, prime Hatton is a different beast to what we saw against Pac, totally different beast altogether.

He has a very powerful uppercut which he does throw on the inside. He also throws strong hooks to the body when on the inside.

That beast everyone here keeps talking about got a gift from the judges and refs against Collazo and as soon as he felt Urangos power which is lesser to Maidanas he made a stinker and fought like it was an MMA match.

I just dont understand why people act like he would bully Maidana just because he went down from a perfect body shot.

In that case you can bring up how Hatton clinched as soon as he felt power or ended up getting KOd in embarrasing fashion. I will also go as far as saying Maidana is the strongest puncher he would have faced since Tsyu wasnt really in his prime and i dont think Pac punches harder nor Urango.

Collazo was a champion 7 lbs higher who has now fought Berto , Mosley and Hatton.

    Can Maidana say this.

Maidana has a great inside game.

It's not as good as Hatton's but it's by no means bad.

Maidana can go down, that has been proven. He showed great will power to get up from that bodyshot, but with a sustained attack to the body?
Khan having more power is debatable, especially if we are talking about the punches they throw to the body.

Tszyu still landed, that was why I used that example. And Maidana does throw straight punches, Ortiz will tell you that.
