Urango is much stronger and has better punch resistance, Maidana is faster (still pretty slow) but apart from that they are both hard hitting wild slugers. Maidana has only stopped Ortiz at world level and that was hardly a concusive stopage. Hatton has only fought world champions since beating Tyzu and most of them were recent champions. His resume is great at lww. Maidana had a tough fight with Corely and Kotelnik, tell me when did Hatton ever struggle with some one of that standard at lww?

What a great fight it would be. Hatton by late round TKO.

The only defeats Hatton has had were 147 (where he was **** anyway) against the best fighter in the world, he did ok in the cirumstances with everythign stacked in PBF's favour and despite a poor refereeing performance from JC

Then when shot against Pac when his personal problems were obviously already there and of course the camp didnt go well at all despite what was said, Hatton himself said he left it all in the gym and really, he didnt look anything like his old self from the off, the Malignaggi fight hid a lot of this, but what we saw against Lazcano just before told the true story, the lost to PBF obviously was a factor too.

I cant see anyone currently that beats Prime version at Junior Welterweight.

Not really....he fought Maussa, Lazcano, shot Castillo and avoided the two biggest threats to his Ring belt Cotto and Witter.

He didnt avoid Cotto, there was talk of it in 2005/2006 but then Cotto moved up to 147.

Hatton could very well have beaten Cotto at 140 around then, would have been a great fight and he'd have had a great chance, its a fight i wish happened before Cotto moved up, because at 147 Cotto would more than likely win.

As for the Witter thing i dont know why that didnt happen, but given he foutht better fighters i doubt he feared Witter and he'd have been big favourite to win it, he probably would have.

Hatton's 2 losses are vs guys with elite hand speed. Hatton had quick hands on the inside which would bust Maidana up to the body and take away a lot of steam from his punchesin the later rds. He would be able to smother Maidana to avoid the big looping shots that he likes. As Maidana doesn't have the agility to create space.

Lol at you saying Khan has more power than Hatton. Hatton has a higher KO% and half of his KO's were 10 counts unlike Khan who does not have one.

    Not prime Hatton

That fight showed us Hatton was on the decline bigtime after losing to PBF at 147, Lazcano was someone he'd have wiped out no problems just 2-3 years before.

That fight is why i dont give Pac too much credit for beating Hatton as it was a shadow of the old Ricky.

There is no easy answer to this, but there are two options:

    Prime Hatton: Hatton by UD
Post-Pacquiao Hatton: Maidana by Brutal KO

If Amir still has one thing Hatton has lost a lot of since the Mayweather and Pacquiao fights, its heart, and that will cost him if he gets in the ring with any brawler, especially one that can keep up with Khan.

Am I saying this because Khan won? No, I'm saying this because Khan nearly lost that fight, and I hope he learns from it, but it brought both fighters' stock through the roof in America.

Did you see Maidana against a shot Corley?

Maidana has fought only two JWWs that were The Ring TOP10 rated at the time he fought them: Kotelnik and Khan. He lost both fights.

Hatton has fought a lot of top ranked fighters in his career. He lost two times as well - to the two best fighters of his generation.

You can't just make a new resume for Hatton. :D

"Well, I think Calzaghe beats Hopkins circa 2003, and Ottke circa 2002, so we'll add them....hmm I think he definitely beats Ward, Froch, Dirrell, Bute, before stepping to up LHW and beating Chad Dawson and Jean Pascal, so they can go on it too.....there, finito, Joe C now has the greatest resume in history".

I don't give Hatton a pot to píss in when it comes to a Cotto fight, at any weight. Witter, he might have beaten, but Witter called him out since 2000 when Ricky was British Champ, right through to just after the Floyd fight and Hatton never signed. Witter even offered to fight for free.
    It's a definite duck:

I know it wasnt a prime hatton but the poster said Hatton had not struggled with any lww. Just showing he did. Never said he was prime then.

Tell us of all those great names he beat.

Collazo? Urango? Castillo? Malignaggi? Lazcano? Tackie?

That is basically above average fighters if not just average.

Fact of the matter is Hatton looked great at the domestic level then once he stepped up he showed he wasnt. It happens all the time when fighters come fight in the US.

Firstly I had Hatton winning every round in that fight so I don't see how he strugled. He did not lose 3-5 rounds like Maidana did vs. Corley. it was a miracle Lazcano stayed on his feet there imo although he did slightly hurt Hatton once (not like Hatton was looked like he was going to go down). Secondly have you seen the people Corley has been losing to lately? they are 15-5 and 10-0 and Maidana barely got past him. Lastly I'd like to add that Ricky was shot by this time and Maidana is in his prime.
