Ricky Hatton Vs. Micky Ward (prime)?

Hatton would win on points and clearly, but it would be an amazing fight to watch, Ward was tough as nails and theres no way he would be stopped.

 

Ricky doesn't have to stand and trade body blows with Ward. He can also box and use the ring, like for example, he did against Tackie and Urango.

 

I agree with most everyone, Hatton wins in a FOY candidate.

Micky just isnt on Hatton's level...he was brave and tough as they come but not worldclass.

Ward is a massive punchers chance with that left to the body but he essentially just gets out punched here over the 12.

 

lol...NEW TO BOXING...all time greats think rate micky as their fav fighter to watch...was the fights he put on just a charade...he is not world class but he is FAR from borderline good...he has more fights than just gatti...what the hll makes hatton so great that h would just kill ward...sounds like u may be new o boxing thinking it is a walkover

 

use his reach?...prime for prime...which tszyu was not it is a great fight...by no means a walkover for hatton

 

how the **** can u say OF COURSE to micky getting ko'd by HATTON...and say others may b new to boxing???I am amazed...he was never stopped? he broke his eardrum and fought through it 7 rds...he is an absolute warrior!...and u say of course he will get stopped in his prime??? zab (in his prime coudn't stop ward) but hatton can..when hatton could no sit and exchange...he would have to box him

 

Hatton is much faster of hand and foot. He can be effective using the ring and boxing, using his jab (which can be pretty good), and outboxing his opponent. Ward's a guy with the style and talent level that can be outboxed by Ricky.

Hatton's boxing skills aren't great, but better than Ward, and it could make the fight much easier for Ricky than to give Ward more chances to throw his left hook the body.

 

In contrast to the walkover you predicted for Malignaggi last week??

 

I agree if hatton fought that fight he NEVER ko's him though...obviously...it only takes one with micky...i would be a hard fought fight...hatton would prob win but not a walkover

 

Ugh, it would be a hard fight to watch, Ward would just be outclassed.
