Pryor, Chavez, Tszyu, and probably Locche and Cervantes. I have a feeling I'm missing someone though.
It's not an overly deep division really, all I can think of is Duilio Loi? That's going way back though.
I agree. But Pryor, Chavez, Tszyu, Locche and Cervantes were all great fighters. Don't know much about Loi to be honest.
Cotto's peak at 140 ended around the Randall Bailey fight, which is when he said it became almost unbearable to make weight. At his best (say Sosa or the Keslon Pinto fight), Cotto would have stopped Hatton either on body shots or on cuts, though likely in a competitive fight. There's a reason why even British pundits felt Hatton should avoid Cotto and go after Kostya Tszyu instead. However, the emaciated shell who fought Paulie Malignaggi, likely gets stopped late on accumulation against a peak Hatton. Other than that...a healthy Cotto beats any version of Hatton.
Cotto has never beaten a fighter as good as Hatton. It's a tough fight to pick but I would lean towards Hatton
