El Untoccable baffles, bewilders and outpoints Hatton over whatever distance it's scheduled for.

    Concur ^.
Wonder what a Niccolino Locche vs Wilfred Benitez fight would have been like?

Well, one of them would be forced to lead. Aside from the defensive devotees, it may not have been a very popular fight.

Locche makes Hatton swing around like a blindfolded kid lunging for the pinata. Much more interested in the Benitez fight, and I think I have El Radar squeaking away with a narrow victory.

Benitez towered over him, hit harder and fought better competition.

Locche (103-2-14) at 32 years old, in a Title Fight Defense, beat prime Antonio Cervantes (55-8-3) first time around. Locche was over 33 years old by the time of the Title loss to Alfonso "Peppermit" Frazer (26-4-1) fight, and his record was 106 -2-14.

1972-03-10 : Alfonso Frazer 137¼ lbs beat Nicolino Locche 140 lbs by UD in round 15 of 15
"Alfonso Frazer of Panama wore down Nicolino Locche of Argentina with a two-fisted attack to the head and won the WBA junior welterweight title with a unanimous 15 round decision Friday night. Frazer landed repeatedly with left jabs and opened a cut over Locche's left eye at the end of the 7th round. Locche's best round was the 4th when he landed several solid blows but could not halt Frazer's rain of punches. Locche attempted to dodge Frazer's blows, but his bob-and-weave style was unsuccessful against the Panamanian's punches." -Associated Press
    • Unofficial AP scorecard - 149-140 Frazer
    • Purses: Locche - $75,000, Frazer - $7,500

    • "I have no excuses. What I want is a rematch in Argentina." -Nicolino Locche
