Look, Paulie's being given too much here....his only notable fight is against Cotto...when he lost.

Granted, the first N'Dou performance was great, but N'Dou is a solid-chinned gatekeeper. Decent no doubt, but not Elite. Yet in their 2nd fight (hair or no hair) N'Dou hit Paulie...a LOT. I also scored the Njgoudjo fight against Paulie.

I don't like Paulie but he is undoubtedly very tough and has talent. But I honestly think, Lazcano wobble aside (which Paulie isn't going to do with his punches) Hatton is the same Hatton. Yeah, he lost against Mayweather....so what? He had some nerves against Lazcano but from what I've seen he looks better already with Floyd SR (who would've thought it) is in great shape and has minumised ballooning this time (as much as he can.)

He looks up for this one, Hatton is clearly a very good fighter. Mauling/schooling (by PBF)/and whatever your thoughts about the Collazo fight/Tszyu being shot/Castillo being shot there is no doubt that these variables can apply to a lot of Elite level fighters best wins.

Paulie has never mixed in this sort of class, shot or prime. Well, he has ONCE. When he was brutalised by Miguel Cotto. Cotto's last fight at LWW when he was feeling very weak and he still beat Paulie (admittedly less experienced than he is now) handily.

I predict a Hatton UD (as I said, Paulie is very tough) but I'd love to see a Chavez-Haugen with Ricky punishing Paulie and eventually stopping him.

Although I'm hoping for a close fight, with spurts of brawling amongst the boxing, an in-form Paulie with a fired-up but more subtle Ricky Hatton (the kind we were supposed to see in the Money May fight) with Ricky slamming a left body shot into Paulie in the championship rounds and stopping him.

Hatton is too strong for Malignaggi....Malignaggi doesn't have the power to keep him off and Hatton will bull rush him....Hatton UD

I find it hard to be confident about my pick.

There are just too many unknowns. Is Hatton really on the slide or just a bit faded? Will Mayweather Sr. have helped him or confused him? Is Malignaggi capable of rising to the occasion or will he put in another poor, lacklustre performance? The way the styles combine, either could be seen as favourite. Hatton has problems with skilled, fast fighters (e.g. Collazo) and Malignaggi has problems with tough pressure fighters, like his last couple of fights have proved. Hatton at his best would beat the best version of Malignaggi we've seen so far by wide decision, but this version of Hatton is not guaranteed to beat the current version of Malignaggi if Malignaggi can put it all together, in my view. Both men have much to prove and gain from winning and they will both be ready to put in a very good performance. Hatton should not be seen as the overwhelming favourite in my view, in any case.

I'm tempted to sit on the fence on this one.

and if so, the judges better give the nod the fighter who came to fight (agressor & who lands the more effective punches).

    *cough* hatton.

Poooleee will slaps the oncoming rampaging Hatton and then get out of the way. When they're close to each other, Poooleee will just tie up Ricky. Poooleee too slick and fast for Ricky to earn a wide decision win. :-D

I really dont think Malignaggi is the fighter he is all made out to be. I was at the city of Manchester stadium and the way he fought against N'dou was terrible. I watched it again scored it and i had N'Dou actually win that fight.

If that Malignaggi turns up it will finish early.

Hatton KO in the mid-rounds. I've already said this many times before, the biggest problem Paulie has in this particular fight is his lack of power. I honestly don't think he can keep someone like Ricky away from him. Paulie's pretty much fighting a guy who's used to walking through punches from much bigger punchers. I see Ricky catching up to Paulie every time and landing some nice bombs.

So Paulie might have superior boxing skills, but he's still at a styles disadvantage here due to what I said above.

Why KO? Simple. Paulie's a tough nut to crack when it comes to his chin but Ricky isn't a "Chin-checker", he's a "Bodysnatcher". He'll punish Paulie in the body and its gonna show as the fight wears on. I see Paulie gong down from either a punch to the gut or in the kidneys.

I think Hatton is gonna wrestle himself to a decision over Malignaggi.

I feel that Hatton is declining though, so unless Mayweather Sr. really changed is style, I don't think Hatton can put Malignaggi away.

Hatton mid rounds stoppage. Paulie is not elusive and can be hit quite easily. Hatton will open him up with some straight rights to the head and move to the body to actually stop him. Yes, paulie is tough but if you cant breath your not staying on your feet.
