i'm not saying he will, but if hatton stops him will you be on here appologizing tomorrow and admitting you're ignorant?
I'm saying Hatton by decision. You need skill AND power to beat Hatton. If you just have power he'll outhustle you and if you just have skill he'll swarm you. Mayweather has underrated power as well as skill (why else are his opponents so often tentative?) and Luiz Collazo had what success he did because he got Hatton into a state of being too respectful. Malignaggi, despite his (overrated) skills and surprising toughness, doesn't even have feather fists; he has neutrino fists, and like neutrinos there's no real evidence for them existing under his gloves save the fact that he'd be a strange boxer if they weren't there. If Malignaggi wins I would be shocked (again) by the Zoolander imitator. Maybe he'll bring out "Magnum" against Hatton.
Malifaggi, if I lent him my brass knucks, might be able to nearly punch his way out of a giant paper sack. That being said, Hatton has faced Tszyu, and PBF. He beat Tszyu, and went some rounds against King Pretty Boy. That alone will ensure a V for us, the people of Britain.
He didn't just do that: he won a few of the early rounds and forced PBF to give 100% in a way that Floyd rarely has had to in his career. In fact, I think the Hatton win is an important legacy win for Floyd: it showed that, if he had to, he could fight every round and not just pot-shot in a cautious manner. I'm not a fan (or a hater) of either boxer, so it's significant when I say that that fight raised my opinion of both men.
Malignaggi might have a little pop didnt he buzz Cotto? And Rickys punch resistance has declined a little he got tagged by a lightweight and hurt maybe paulie could surprise him by hurting him.
Too many people did a very good job analysing this fight to allow me to acknowledge them all. Well done everyone who picked Hatton by wide decision or stoppage.
