Hell no Hatton wont even bother Paul Williams.. If Margarito couldn't hurt or KO Williams then Hatton doesn't stand a chance in hell.. Margarito is a BIG Welterweight.. Hatton is a small one.
Hatton would lose worse to Williams than Hatton is gonna lose to PBF. Everything Williams does in the ring would be bad for Hatton. Williams is long and srong and he throw over 100 punches in a round. Williams also is a southpaw and he boxes. I'm sorry Hatton fans but if he fought Williams I think Williams would retire him.
spot on - williams is everyones worst nightmare imo williams would still take plenty of leather off hatton but i'd back williams on points.
williams is to big for hatton , one of the reasons i think hatton should move back down to 140 after mayweather.
Lighten up people . . . there's a bigger chance that Hatton will K.O. Williams than the otherway around because Hatton has more power than Williams. PLus. . . knowing that Williams fights from the outside Hatton will fight him inside tie him up to neutralize his long reach. Hatton is not STUPID . . . I believe. :yep
Hatton wouldn't even be able to get on the inside to do effective body work, his arms are way too short. This fight is a mismatch. Williams hits Hatton with everything but the kitchen sink and wears him down and stops him by TKO.
i dont give margarito **** for losing....if u look back i was one of only a few people who picked pw in the first place. i just cant see people getting past him
Williams won't be able to fight Hatton on the inside though. All that Hatton needs to do is get past the long reach, and he is set. Being a shorter fighter, and considering how fast Hatton is on his feet, I believe he can do it. This would be a very close fight IMO. I think people that don't think so are severely under rating Hatton. Williams isn't a great counter puncher like Floyd, and to be honest doesn't fight well backing up. Hatton will just try to walk through him to get the job done. The reason Collazo did well because he was extremely tight defensively in close quarters. Williams clearly is not, and I think this would be a very back and forwards fight.
Everyone here is pointing to the fact that Hatton is too small. Do you all not realise it is easier to slip under and negate reach as a shorter fighter, then a taller one. Look at all the best pressure fighters in history. Dempsey, Marciano, Tyson, Chavez ect... All shorter fighters who burrowed their way in. Williams isn't a counter puncher. And he has looked very uncomfortable when people have gotten inside, or pushed him back. Hatton certainly will not take a backwards step, and he will have a far easier time getting inside then Marg did. He will also be far more effective inside then Marg.
