I'm surprised that this is 50/50...

Williams is probably the worst matchup at WW for Hatton. He may even have more chance than PBF does at winning.

Williams wouldn't kill Hatton, likely beat him on points in mundane fashion though.

Williams would have a great chance at stopping Hatton on cuts throwing 100+ punches a round. He's more like 6'3" in real life compared to Hatton's 5'6" - 5'65". Hatton might have problems even reaching him and we all saw how he did against the last south paw he faced.

I voted for Williams, but thought that it meant that he would ko Hatton not the other way around. This poll was written to consuse people I think, thus the high number of people that voted for Williams to be ko'd. Williams would massacre HAtton.

I would pick hatton if it weren't for the problems he has had when facing southpaws in the past. I am telling you right now, Williams will have a lot of trouble against anyone who can effectively get inside, and the two best in the welterweight division right now at doing this are Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton. Cotto would thoroughly beat Williams, and Hatton, if he weren't puzzled by the southpaw stance again, also has the tools to defeat him. Some of you guys who point to Hatton getting stopped, when Williams took a tonne of rounds to KO Maythsse, are SEVERELY under rating Hatton. I get the feeling you are the same people who think that Floyd will be an aggressor against Hatton also. Rubbish.

Silly Comparison. Williams and Urango couldn't be more different as fighters. I really don't think you thought about this post at all did you?

I love Ricky but he has nothing for Williams. Williams is far too big. Williams would just keep throwing and if Ricky did get through he simply can't do the damage needed.

Williams is going to be VERY hard to tame. Margo tried and failed. I can see someone like Cotto doing it because he is much more polished and intelligent.

what's all this crap about not being able to get on the inside? That's where Williams does his best work and as has been mentioned, he doesn't take well to being blasted to the body... interesting fight, but Williams still for me on sheer size, but certainly no easy nights work as some would have you believe.

I doubt either fighter gets ko'd but I would like Williams on points.

EDIT: You can't be more wrong.
Shane Mosley is your man, period.

As for the topic, anything can happend, PW got hit a lot to the body by Margarito, and Hatton's a lethal body puncher.
Hatton by accumulation to a stoppage or Paul by decision.
