This reiterates to me that Hatton isnt back for the money. Senchenko is a tougher opponent than Katsidis, and a tougher sell to the casual fans.

Who outside of boxing have heard of Senchenko?

What happened to the Katsidis bout? Never heard of this guy. Going by the his stats though he looks like a solider welter with a decent dig. Really don't see what Ricky gains from this. There's no point in rebuilding. If he's gong to make a comeback it has to be against a known name opponent.

Ricky gets a top 5 rating with the WBA if he wins and trust me this guy is shite. If Ricky is gonna make anything of this comeback then he should deal with Senchenko easily - was stopped by Malignaggi in his last fight.

We spoke about this yesterday mate.

I think this opponent proves that Hatton is not back for the money, or pretty looking names on his record.

    Its a big risk.

    Nothing wrong with this match-up for Ricky. It's a decent come-back match-up.

    Best of luck to both.

This doesn't mean I have to be interested in this fight, though.

I have no reason to believe Ricky is going to become better now than he was before he retired.

    Don't think I'll be watching.

A lot better than Kats (in everything but having a "name") if Hatton is serious about his comback. Very decent comeback opponent after the time out.

Quigg/Munroe on the undercard seems to hint to me that Hatton might be stacking his cards for a big broadcaster.

He was stopped on a cut but he was taking a complete battering, being caught with the right hand with impunity. The word "cut" doesn't do the stoppage justice IMO

He's still a much better opponent than Katsidis

Everyones also forgetting that Paulie isn't as feather fisted anymore. I think he could hurt Hatton if his durability hasn't drastically improved. Fair play to him for taking on a much bigger opponent, and a recent world champ at that.
