lets say ricky stepped in to fight judah in 2000 instead of junior witter, how would the fight have turned out?

i would say ricky would have still been a bit raw and judah would have stopped him

:good Ricky would have lost and Junior would be ducking ricky instead of the other way around.

Judah would have stopped Hatton then, and he'd stop him now.
Without a strength advantage, Hatton isn't extraordinary. Judah's speed and power will bust Rick up and wear him down.
No matter when they fight, Judah stops Hatton around the 9th round.

NEVER! judah may win the 1st few rounds but he always fades in the latter. judah doesnt have the defensive prowess to keep ricky off him for 12 rounds. Hatton wins late stoppage

Yup...semi-shot as Zab is,he still Kos Hatton.I don't see him survivng beyond the 5th...There's nothing Hatton does better thanZab except mauling maybe...He's easier to hit...Zab's gonna get to him and early..

    zab KO5.

That sneaky left hand will catch hatton coming in the same way collazo and floyd did. The thing with Zab he hits a lot harder then both. No dis to hatton but styles make fights.

Zab got beat in every single major fight against big names.......Tszyu, Cotto, Mayweather, is 1-1 with Spinks and even lost Baldomir so what makes you think Ricky couldn't win???

He won his WBO title in a SD against Corley who was beaten comfortably by Junior Witter.........a current Judah gets stopped on his feet by Hatton in my opinion...one defeat to Mayweather doesn't all of a sudden mean every decent light welter or welter would destroy him

Ricky doesnt seem like he can stop people from punching his face. That could be a problem agaisnt Judah.

To be fair it was a different Corley!

I think Zab would have sparked him back then, Ricky wasn't ready, and neither was Witter - but Witter got on his bike throughout!

I think Hatton has been in front of Zab for about three/four years now, I would back him to wear Judah down and beat him late on.

Personally i think this has always been a hard fight to call.

I think there is two outcomes...

    1. Judah blasts Hatton out within 6, altought Hatton has faced heavier punchers, namely Tszyu, Judah is an explosive puncher, which in my view is a more dangerous type of puncher for Hatton.

    2. Hatton rides out Judahs initial storm, much like his fight with Eamon Magee and wears Judah down for a late stoppage, ala Cotto vs Judah.

Hatton gets hurt when he gets hit. Judah WILL land his punch we all know that. He lands his good shots on EVERYBODY. If you can take it and still wear him down. But Judah would find a lot of openings on Hatton. Hatton will get hurt too often early.
