You all know he basically won the Mayweather fight, only you drunks starting booing the anthem and made the referee hate him and thats why he lost.

OK... Witter is ranked #1 by the Ring, #1 by the IBO, WBC champ, has a 21 fight win streak, and knocked out Vivian Harris (top 5 140 pounder at the time) in his last fight. If that's not good enough, I don't know who is. What is Lazcano's current standing in boxing compared to that?

As far as Witter talking **** constantly... If I was Ricky, I would GLADLY put him in the ring with me to kick his ass and shut him up for good. I'm not buying the story from Hatton about the payday being the only reason he won't do it. Witter has said repeatedly that he would not mind a small purse compared to Hatton if they ever fought. This is nothing new in boxing. Trash talking happens all the time , didn't he do the same to Mayweather?

 

I think it can legitimately be pointed out at this stage that if moving up in weight to fight the P4P number one in his own country isn't enough to demonstrate a 'pair of gonads' to you, then nothing ever will be.

 

Joe Cortez made a post fight statement which needs to be read.. he basically made a decision before the fight. Yet he let Ricky fight his fight against Castillo..go figure

But now I have lost interest in watching Hatton with this con fight..his dad and the family ticket did it for me.

 

45.000 tickets in one day proves only one thing: he's got the biggest, most loyal fan base in boxing today. Every single post on ESB blaming the 45.000 is either based on jealousy (that the poster's favorite fighter doesn't have the same kind of fanbase) or just the usual Hatton blame...

Of course there're some issues about the Hatton fans (disrespecting the other guy's anthem is one of the few things that REALLY pisses me off! :twisted: Shame on that part!) but after the KO loss (10 seconds) still singing, still showing love and showing respect even in the tune-up bout after the KO loss is something Witter, Malignaggi, Mayweather or anyone is just dreaming of... Did you see how many fans supported Jermain Taylor after his Winky or Spinks fight?




By the way: how did Hatton look in the interview? Is he fat?

Hattons an interesting phenomena.He epitomises everything that is modern chav football culture. It is indeed impressive that so many lemmings are interested in following there boy whereever he goes and no matter whom he fights.But it doesnt take away from the fact that his career so far is very very questionable.

 

Aparently going to a couple of 'title fights' on the undercard, any news on that?
