Can't believe Sky think people are gonna pay around £15 for this piece of crap fight. Watch Hatton hugging Lazcano and then probably end it with a regulation body shot.

a lot of boxing fans actually do regard there ratings system.

whether they rate that title is another matter of course.

hatton was just making that point.

absolutely sod all wrong with that.

it's his job to sell the fight.

    lazcano ain't total gash.

but i do accept it's an underwhelming comeback fight for rick.

Cotto gets a bly for his recent streak of top tier opponents although Gomez might be a drop too far. But the DLH Forbes bout is beyond a joke.

i agree, cotto deserves a routine fight shall we say,but like you said gomez may be too routine,i think cintron would have been perfect, decent fighter yet a significant step down from ssm.

Lazcano isn't exactly the best choice of opponents if you want to see Hatton in with someone who might pose a threat. I would, however, put this fight above the DLH-Forbes match. Hatton's fans are coming to watch him because they are fans oh him. Nothing wrong with that. I just don't want to see HBO or Showtime waste one of their dates on this.

If this is PPV in Britain than that is sad. This fight in way, shape, or form should be on PPV. But I'm sure he has enough fans who will make this very profitable for Hatton. What stinks is that there are a number of jr welters who would make for much better fights than an older, inactive, struggling lately, Juan Lazcano.

Hatton should have apologised to the US public after the Mayweather fight for the booing on the anthem by the Football Hooligans.

Agree! Think people should look at this fight for what it is though - a tune up!! Hatton has put it on in a football stadium thus more tickets available. No beef with that. He could sell it twice over so I dont really see any problems with his move.

Whoever is making it PPV (not sure if its Sky/Setanta) should be ashamed! At the same time people will buy it so I suppose they are just lining their pockets. And I'm guessing that Ricky wont lose out neither!

Regardless - cant wait for his homecoming!!!

That was a bad moment and not something which I was proud of sitting in that stadium with a load of muppets around us doing it.

However, it is a common occurence at football grounds and Hatton's fans are mainly Hatton fans rather than fight fans who are more accustomed to sitting in a football stadium than a boxing arena. It was disgraceful for boxing but didnt even warrant a mention in the major UK newspapers because it happens every time England play an international game. Not an excuse, I agree, but just some background for you as to why it happened.
