Ricky Hatton was on SKY Sports tonight talking BS about the Lazcano fight.....

Should be a good night. Keeping my eye out for the undercard...

 

a hatton fight is always a good night out.i hope they do matthew hatton against either michel jennings or kevin anderson underneath.

 

I really am not pleased by this, he lost fair and square to a better fighter no excuse. Thats why I really respect guys like Tszyu no excuses and he was really screwed by the ref in the Hatton fight and has never once mentioned it as a reason for losing.

 

If people want to see Hatton fight Lazcano than go for it. He has his fans and they love to watch him, regardless of who he's in with. No different to other sports. A lot of football and basketball games are going to be a bit one-sided coming into the games but they still sell out. Same thing going on here.

It also seems like HBO and Showtime aren't going to pick this up which means they are going to put their resources behing more meaning and interesting bouts. We hope. For what its worth, Im sure Hatton will be back in with someone more significant after this fight.

Sometimes these things happen fast so you may be correct.

 

I don't know if they are taking this fight but I due know that they are working on another three fight deal with him.

 

Seeing as he got his ass beat at 47 and apparently is the man at 140 why does he need a tune uo at 140 for?

 

The thing is all the Witter fans where claiming that Lazcarno was a brilliant win for Harris, thus justifying Witters victory over Harris as a legit/quality victory.

Yet Hatton is taking the fight as a TUNE UP!!

All you Hatton haters get over it, until Witter beats a top 5 even 10 contender or Hatton then and only then can he be the numero uno in the division.

Tune up seems to be the polite way of seeing easy fight. Hatton is in his prime and doesn't take huge layoffs. He doesn't need any tune-ups. Lazcano is what he is, an easy payday. Tune-ups are for inactive fighters or maybe to prepare for a certain style. Examples-Vitaly should take a tune-up before facing Peter. Or maybe Hatton facing Mallignaggi as a sort of tune-up for Mayweather. Hatton-Lazcano is simply an easy fight for Hatton to make a load of money.

 

I know me too. The ref stepped in too much. But when Hatton got on the inside all he do is get punched in the face. He should thank the ref for not allowing him to get punished in there like he was. Floyd first didnt want to fight on the inside..then he realized Hatton aint **** on the inside and he could pick him apart anywhere in the ring all day. Floyd was going for a spectacular knockout the whole fight. He had very little respect for Hattons ANYTHING that fight. **** he had his gloves down to his waist, both gloves and just blatently said go ahead and punch. Hatton fans are the worst and will always be the bottom feeders of boxing.
