Since Floyd will be stealing the Pac man fight im wondering for something for Ricky to do. Why not Add a world title or two to his resume

1.Timothy Bradley WBC Light Welterweight Championship
    2. Andreas Kotelnik WBA Light Welterweight Championship
    3. Kendall Holt WBO LWW Champ

Why doesn't Hatton dispose of these fellows in 2009 and unify the lww division? would be a good achievement, the IBO isn't exacgtly prestigious is it

How do you figure Mayweather is going to steal the fight?

hatton cant risk a loss right now. he is lined up for a big fight with pac and a loss will most likely scrap him off that list

The fight with Pac won't happen, Theres no point, if Mayweather asks for the fight with Pac, he gets it. simple as that. Ricky will have to find other ways to occupy his time.

Simple as that? Hardly. Hatton carries a MUCH larger audience, and poses "less of a threat." There is no logical reason whatsoever that Team Pacquiao would take the tougher less lucrative fight first.

PBF would make more money, because he is american. Also Pac wants to fight the best, and PBF is the best.

Yeah, but they don't spend it on boxing.

The risk part and the name recognition I understand but the American part? What does that have to do with anything? If anything, a fight with Bradley would be a good sell in England considering the fact that he won his title there against Witter. It just wouldn't be as lucrative as a fight with a bigger name fighter.

Hatton can draw 50, 000 fans. Floyd can bring about 50, and he has to pay half of them.

Everyone knows that the gate is small potatoes compared to the PPV revenue and the site fee. Over the past couple of years floyd has made enough of a name for himself over here that I think that well marketed a fight between him and pacman would do better ppv numbers. Who knows though. Hatton's name recognition over there might bring in PPV dollars from UK that would be better than Floyd vs Hatton.

they're all small fights, and besides what's the IBO belt got to do with anything, he's the lineal/ring champ at 140. a fight with marquez would be better and make mnore sense, but there's still a big chance hatton gets pac, even if pbf comes out of retirement it's not a certainty that pbf v pac happens next.

hatton pac would surely sell some ppv's in the US wouldn't it? and the ppv money from the UK would be very significant. £15 x 1 milliom, which was about $30m but the pound has dropped recently.

Mayweather v Hatton had 50% more buys in the UK than in the US, despite being at 4am UK time.

There's no reason at all to think that Hatton v Pacquiao would not do significantly better at combined US and UK PPV sales than Mayweather v Pacquaio. It would also do have about five times more live spectators if staged in the UK, compared to a Mayweather/Pacquaio Vegas fight.
