I cant see it to be honest... but at the same time if it came out as a NOTW 'exclusive' next weekend, i wouldnt be surprised. Whether he is or isnt, he'd still be loved by all the british public, as it would show that he's just a regular guy like most of his fans.
Yeah sorry bout the length lads got a bit carried away Anyway maz it aint gonna make sense readin that way is it ;-) Read every 5th letter
You mean like in the way politicians try to act cool by telling us all of their 'Pot-Smoking experiences' :good
To answer your question, id probally go and watch it for nothing more than the chance to see Oscar De La Hoya fight live, he was a hero of mine when I was growing up, id love to see him fight in person even if he is miles away from the fighter I used to love watching all them years ago. Hatton, well Im not a fan really, I should say im not a fan of his personality, good old Ricky, one of the lads etc, It gets on my nerves, he grates on me and for that reason Ive never liked him. His voice bores the arse off me and the same old act he puts on doesnt wash with me at all. But as a fighter yes, he was a good fighter I cant knock him for that. As for Hatton being on the sniff, I dont know what to make of that, in big citys like Manchester, Liverpool etc theres loads of rumours around. Remember all the Everton fans saying Robbie Fowler was stuffing God knows what up his beak, I didnt believe that either. Id say it was the same thing with Hatton, Man Utd fans spreading rumours about him? I dont know, are thre any Man Utd fans in Manchester? (Joke, Joke!) Vicious rumour though. I wouldnt be worried about getting banned from here for posting it, id be more worried about getting sued or whatever for posting it on here, or the site being sued or something I dont know how it works, but ive known a few football sites be shut down over rumours in the past!
why would anyone be surprised about Hatton, or anyone else for that matter, doing coke? The guy has money and plenty of spare time on his hands. We know he bevvies a lot so why not coke?? as for his boxing career, he was nowhere hear being an elite fighter, got found out badly. Just as I and a few others said he woud once fighting in neutral territory against half decent opponents. Almost anyone can look good beating on WBU chumps and old men. A lot of people need to accept that reality that he was never as good as was made out by those with a vested interest.
How's this for starters. don't know exactly but he was found out badly against the incredibly mediocre Collazo in Boston. It may be down on officlal record as a 'W', but anyone who saw that fight knows how it went down. He almost certainly wouldn't have beat old Tszyu if it weren't for all the hometown advantages.
Well I can guess how you scored it but we had a thread on here where it was re-scored and most people had Hatton winning by either 1 or 2 points. I guess the way Urango and Paulie (both of whom Hatton beat on "neutral territory") are still hanging around 140 and kicking arse must really be pissing you off! They put a pretty big torpedo in your argument. BTW, I don't remember the Zoo fight as being on "neutral territory", or is that just one of your standard endings when you post on Hatton (do you post on anything else these days?)
hardly kicking arse are they now Gaz. We all know the level of Paulie and Urango and it's a long way from elite. Paulie ain't nobody and Hatton was hanging on like an octopus against Urango. Speaking of the Paulie fight, remember how the Hatton huggers were making out Hatton was back to his best in that win....yet soon after he got totally destroyed by Pac and suddenly Hatton was 'past it', 'shot' and needed to retire. do a Hatton-Collazo poll on the general forum..ask who won, see how that comes out.
Hattons not 'elite' and got convincingly beat by both Pac and Mayweather but you first post said he got found against "fighting on neutral territory against half decent opponents", both Paulie and Urango are (and were) more than half decent and were both well beaten by Hatton on neutral territory. Better still, instead of asking a bunch of teenagers who have probably never seen the fight and def. havn't scored it properly, why don't you get people to sit down, rewatch the fight and score it again like the Brit forum did? That way you might actually get peoples genuine opinions on a fight they've seen and scored instead of people voting based on the boxers personalites or on what they heard about the fight?
One of the few posts I actually enjoyed reading. Good stuff. Certainly not impossible he is taking it. There's only one ricky hatton!!
