Dan - I don't particularly buy these rumours, didn't with Fowler either, Liverpool and Manchester are farting little cities in truth (I'm from Salford) and everyone who makes it gets **** slung at them. Anyway even if he is, I don't care, means nothing boxing wise. Not having a pop btw that's just my take on it.

We know what Hatton was, a VERY good world champion in a British context. He was acknowledged top man at his weight for a few years, and he genuinely sought out the very, very, very best competition, where he was found out to a degree.

For me, he left a bit of himself in the ring after Tszyu, and he rested on his laurels a bit, an earlier change of trainer and move stateside might've seen him develop his game which he never did, in fact he regressed and became over reliant on his 'strength' - which wasn't actually his strong point (his energy / stamina was his real strength IMO).


By the way he's just announced he'll fight on, on his site.

 

So you just slate the whole Brit forum, who apparently don't have your incredible powers of objectivity and abililty to score fights.

It wasn't a "poll", people scored the fight, gave in scorecards and had to justify their scoring. Have you ever seen that on the GF? Those ****ers just either pick a winner on personality or just go with the flow.

Even the few people who had it to Collazo by a round (the most he won by IIRC) couldn't complain about the decision being a robbery. I think theres enough people who don't give a **** about Hatton on the Brit forum that we'd have got a few more cards for Collazo if the fight was really a robbery, its not exactly a pro-Hatton hotbed on here is it?

I'm not on Hattons staff infortuneatly, neither do I think he's "elite" but I do thing he was a solid enough world champ which is something you seem unable to give him credit for and go to crazy lengths to try and discredit some of his wins (or just try to ignore them like Urango and Paulie in this thread)

I'm simply stating there is bound to be a bais towards British fighters on the Brit forum. Hardly rocket science now is it peabrain.

I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't even see the Collazo fight, about 40 people here scored it, round by round, 6 months back or so and had a solid discussion about it, dissected the swing rounds etc, but you probably didn't even see the thread and still bang on with your nonsense about 'bias' and 'ask the GF'.

Yeah totally agree, like being The Rings Fighter of the year panel, American Boxers Writers Association, the BBC, most Top 10 P4p lists from 2005 right up until 2009, all sanctioning bodies, HBO; their all wrong on Hatton.

 

Fact is whoever Hatton fights next will sell out in England without a doubt. He could easy get 50,000 at city of Manc or even if he fights at wembley i could guarentee he would pull 75,000+. Same with Vegas, MGM etc would be sell outs. Not many active boxers can say that.
