Its not hindsight. Its just what actually occurred. It was a bad cut, Hatton fought through it and won. Theres no need for a stewards enquiry on this one.

He was shite in that fight and on my card the knockdown won him the fight and if Collazo who always seems to take rounds off would of just stepped on the gas a bit more Hatton would probably never have fought Mayweather and Pac, Collazo has never beat anyone and is just a solid top ten contender, but Hatton went life and death with him, that was one of his worst performances in my book.

 

And the award for easiest question in the world goes to...

 

The referee was definitely right to let the fight go on..... some of them these days are as bad as in the amateurs, the slightest little gash and they are waving the contests off.

Explanation:

Collazo has proven to be a top welterweight, no the fight wasn't pretty but the question was "best win" not "best performance" and I think as a win Collazo is up there (although I wouldn't argue if it swapped in my rankings with Urango).

Depends how you interpret the question I guess.

Nice list though BB. Names are probably right, I'd play about with the order but not massive objections except I'd put Urango much higher. Dont think Urango gets the credit he deserves. Only beaten at LWW by Hatton and a very, very good Alexander.

If timing had been on his side I think Urango could have had a succesful stint at the top of the pile. Unfortunately for him he came up through the Hatton years and is probably going to slide away during the Alexander/Bradley years.

 

Yeah, the Urango win is open to debate as to how good it actually is.

I guess with Hatton's weaknesses stylewise (and to the body) a near shutout win over a huge bodypunching southpaw should go pretty highly..... but Urango is a bit crude plus Hatton certainly should have had a point taken (or arguably been thrown out) for holding - I remember there were various excuses about colds/flu.....

It's pretty obvious that something wasn't right because after about five rounds he just completely ran out of gas, then was nailed a couple of rounds later with a few body shots :yep

He was definitely on the way to a stoppage judging by the first four rounds.... and he did a better job than Berto did :think

I might have Castillo a bit high..... though the fight wasn't that one-sided..... typical Americans and revisionism....

Some of the WBU wins might be worth considering..... though some of the others probably shouldn't have been sanctioned!

 

I def. have the Urango win near the top, as Paddy says he's proven to be a very solid 140lber with a reasonable set of title defences before running into Alexander.

The JLC win is open to different interpretations, I'd have it at number 5 but I didn't want to get into the same old debates about that fight which is why I cut my list off at 4.

Yes, glad Gaz mentioned Urango too. Obviously something wrong with Hatton that night and he managed to grind out a wide decision against a world class puncher.

Remember the Collazo fight was taken at short notice and Collazo has since proved he's a world class welterweight. It was an excellent win for Hatton. If Tsyzu was shot as Hatton's critics say then it probably wasn't his best win.

Deserved a draw at best against Collazo.
Castillo was shot to ****.

The Paulie victory was his best performance out of this bunch imo
