That's irrelevant. The fact he wants the rematch at all when he'll only be fighting a limited amount of fights in his career is bad enough.

Let's see, look at it from a pure money aspect:

$25million to rematch Hatton, a fight he more than likely will win easily.

Cotto, Mosley, Pac, Williams will all still be around, hopefully fighting each other and making the fight with Floyd bigger.

Then he fights his pick from those fights, which are all arguably tougher than Hatton. Win or lose, he's pocketed another big payday.

Boxing is a sport, but these guys are prizefighters.. key word "prize".. they fight for cash.

They ain't fighting for stupid internet fanboys. Not to say fans aren't important, but it's there job.

floyd's 32 now and given he's smart he won't be fighting very long. thus there are only a few fights left. so it's fair game to criticize him for targeting a second hatton fight which was a minor mismatch the first time around.

mayweather would have knocked hatton silly again.i really like ricky because he wears his heart on his sleeve and is a real warrior, but he couldnt win this 1 if he fought floyd 10 times.

I'm sure Mayweather IS gutted he missed out on the chance for a big payday against someone he's already beaten.

Pac defo saved us from seeing a sequel that didn't need to be made. (Right now!)
    (Mayweather Vs. Hatton II)

But Hatton losing does ruin 140lbs, to be honest.
(because nobody expects Manny to face the 140 crop, MP is a "Superfight" now)
Nor should he, IMO.... But the big fight @ 140lbs is now gone.

The Bradley's of the world are assed out right now which suck's for them.

Dont know why people are getting so mad.

If Ricky beat Pac that definitely warranted a rematch with Floyd.

He was only targeting a second fight if Hatton would have won. It's only fair game to criticize him if he wanted to fight Hatton right now after he got knocked out by Pacquiao.

    "Arguably tougher"

And yes, purely from a financial perspective, of course I understand why he wants it. I'd simply have fought, that as a fighter, he would to an extent care what boxing publicists and historians think, as they sure as hell wouldn't be happy with a rematch either.

No I am not. I am saying that all of the same hype surrounds "The Next Great Hope...". It doesn't matter the fighter or how history is played out. You guys always find a way to say that Mayweather is ducking.

Last time everyone was saying that Mayweather was ducking Baldomir because he honored his commitment to fight Judah. When he handled that and shut out Baldomir everyone hopped on the Marga-cheato train.

Nothing will ever be enough for you folks. He beats Pac? Pac was too small. He beats Mosely? Mosely is old. You haters keep moving the finish line.

EDIT - Oh and IMHO Pac has never seen a fighter with the athletic gifts of Mayweather. He beats down one-dimensional fighters. I think it will be very apparent when Pac meets Mayweather in the ring.
