If they had did what I did & eventually admitted it was great fun hating Hatton but gave the hitman his props as a guy who achieved a helluva lot more than us haters thought he ever would & proved us wrong more than once? That would have been acceptable.

Its just that its a bit **** that after all the thrills & spills Hatton gave Brit ESB through the years that Betty & Scurla have never given Hatton an ounce of credit for what he has achieved, & as a true boxing fan I hate to see that. Those two should have owned up like I did that although Hatton didnt beat Mayweather & Manny, the guy deserves big respect for what he achieved, & had the balls to leave Warren & chase the biggest fights, when he could have stuck with sir Frank & very probably would be defending a world belt to this day in front of packed houses all over Britain.

Betty & Scurla should be thankful Hatton chose to fight the best of the best & gave them the opportunity to see him lose, cos Hatton if he chose the easy option, as I have said just before would still probably be world champion just now & have the 0. How sick would our Betty & Scurla have been then?:think

True, Dunks. I always thought that most of the "ammunition" against Hatton was, rightly, the WBU title reign. As soon as Hatton beat Zoo, got a "real" world title and started defending it against decent opponents then there was only so much stick a boxing fan could reasonably give Hatton even allowing for the one-sided loses against Mayweather and Pac.

Dont think it took balls leaving Warren, more greed. Warren delivered home advantage to Hatton at a big price against Kostya.

We would've all done the same but in my mind it was purely for financial reasons and not to escape the possibility of Warren 'forcing' him to face inferior opponents.

So why not leave Warren and continue facing inferior opponents? The best of both worlds surely? Even if he was getting well paid for making the move, Hatton deserves credit for taking control of his career and stepping up his quality of opposition.

I'm pretty certain Warren would've stepped up the competition also. The move away was purely for money.

Of course Hatton deserves credit, a lot of it.

    I'm just defending fisheyes.

I dunno, Warren had showed absolutely not indication he was going to to that. I don't think we'd have seen Hatton-Zoo when we did if it was purely down to Warren.

I think the main objective would've been to secure a Mayweather fight regardless of who was guiding him. Who knows???

The Mausa fight would've been made next, as easy a unification bout you can get. Would've quite liked to see hatton/Harris had Harris not blew it.
