Also known as fighter mind games 101 Pimp C. He probably just replaced his cardio routine with the dancing and kept the sparring, obviously.

Your right Cortez would not allow Hatton to fight on the inside everytime he would get inside Cortez would break them.

He got lit up every round. He did walk through Floyd for a while because he was getting hit flush all the time. He didn't do anything in return though.

Hatton was that competitive. Smothering, holding, wrestling all saved him some punishment, but he landed little offense of his own. I mean barely anything of quality.

It didn't take much clean punching at all to turn Hatton's lights out.

He didn't do any of that because Cortez continually split them up. He basically charged in, got straight hands and hooks flush from a retreating Floyd, tried to hold, broke up. Rinse and repeat until Floyd started to hurt him quite early on as it happens.

Hatton was a physical bully and that style would never have worked for him at 147. He got a gift against Collazo.

Terrific performance by Floyd and Cortez, some of the best tag-team work I've ever seen.

I haven't watched it in ages, but I recall feeling that Hatton was fairing okay and making a fight of it. It always made me think that a prime Mosely, and Prime De La Hoya would have beaten Mayweather fairly clearly.

Cortez was abysmal in this fight, Mayweather got away with consistently ducking below the belt which ultimately lead to the ridiculous point deduction for Hatton. As mentioned by others Hatton was denied the chance to work on the inside by Cortez. Mayweather persistently used the top of his head in the face of Hatton and spent the whole fight hitting Hatton with his left forearm and elbow while Cortez happily watched. One of the worst things Cortez did was constantly interfere in the Hatton corner in between rounds stopping them from advising Hatton because they had Cortez in there mouthing off.

No wonder Hatton turned around and gestured Mayweather to F in the ass!
There was no way Hatton was getting any opportunity to win this fight whether he was good enough or not!

It's ironic how everyone whines about how Hatton was allowed to fight dirty against Tszyzu but complains that he wasn't allowed to be dirty against Mayweather

He outweighed Mayweather by a decent margin. Hatton was at a size advantage against Mayweather.

Your post does nothing but prove the term 'size' is subjective to context...
