Hatton can say all that he wants about what hes gonna do and not gonna do, the truth remains, he has the best trainer in the world, and he will have a great gameplan to work with Rick on..
I am speculating that this plan will include improvement of upperbody movent to suppliment Hattons fleetfootwork, to avoid those straights from Pacman.
They will be working extensively on countering Pacs shots with very short, hard rights to the head, and short upper cuts on the inside..

    1. Enhancing head movement/block techniques to supplement footwork and inside mauling to defend against the Pac blitz, and move away from his own attack
    2. Improve even more his patience, and countering skills so hesnot going in headfirst to produce a more effective, yet disciplined fight.
the 10 week camp will produce a much better Hatton that improves chance of winning, even tho '07 Hatton would probably win anyway

wata? how long are you in boxing bro? or how many hatton fights have you watch? hatoon has no footwork at all, all the things that work for him is his hand and shoulder exercise

finally, i knew you had it in you.

and i agree that those are all great key areas in which ricky will need to work on but the truth remains... -if he does improve, (which i dont think he will much) how long will it be until ricky resorts to the old hook & hold hatton?

b/c ricky could train with floyd for 10 months and its still inevitable that pacs strait left will land repeatedly as hatton comes forward. its not only common sense but history has shown that fighters tend to follow theyre so called "gameplan" until getting clocked (esp repeatedly).

and if we got anything from diaz & oscar fight, its that manny still posses the speed, accuracy, poise, lateral footwork & stamina with the additional weight.

i'll put my money on pacs quick sharp punches landing over ricky making all of those changes.

I like both guys but don't follow them real closely. This is a pickem fight for me at the moment. Each out classed his last opponent. But this will be a great clash of styles. Can Pac do his 'in and out' and HURT Hatton. I'm limited in my analysis skills, but that is what I see it coming down to.

Pac will dispose Hatton much quicker than MoneyMay.. Unless Hitman pulls some **** like holding and using illegal tactics.

If Hatton would be bloodied and awed early, that would give Pac the confidence to go for the kill and it would be good bye for Hatton. Pac by KO by mid rounds.

If Hatton slipped into old Hatton, then Pac woul again win vs an "old and shot" fighter. Hatton maybe a shot fighter now coz he failed to knock out a one-armed Malignagi and dont forget that he's already 31. MAB and Eric were "old and shot" at 30 when they fought Pac remember?:yep

huge fight for both. it just seems that at 30, pac was still able to improve his arsenal while hatton seems to have hit the plateau.

even then, in will be an interesting fight.

he probably doesn't need to do a lot more than that, he's been very successfull with what he's had up to now remember, he does have areas that need working and any improvements there will be good for him, but he isn't going to change his whole style this late in his career.
