I've seen far worse in my over 40 years following the sport.

Roy Jones and Roberto Duran, just to name a couple who got knocked cold.

It happens that way sometimes. Especially when its a punch you didn't see. Plus its a generally accepted procedure to have a concussed fighter stay down to prevent possible further injury.

It's the fanboy gloatfest. This'll probably go on for a few more days, until then I wouldn't expect much in the way of rational dialogue on here.

The people who are bashing Hatton are just dumb. The man is a brave boxer who has only lost twice and those loses were from the former p4p boxer and the current p4p boxer. He lost to two great boxers. Give him some respect!

Yeah, and the Pacman fight is the only one where he got absolutely crushed.

Frazier got demolished in 2 vs Foreman, RJJ starched in 2 vs Tarver, Duran annihilated in 2 vs Hearns etc etc. The beauty of boxing is that even the best can get totally crushed in shocking fashion on the wrong night vs the wrong opponent. Hatton isn't in the ATG league so there's nothing shameful about one out of 40+ fights going this way.

Add to that lennox lewis knocked out twice by inferior opposition but there is little doubt he was one of the best heavyweights of the modern era

We need to he consistent in our criticisms

What's wrong with "Hit Man" being his nickname? The instructions are right there on the back of the box.

And, no, he hasn't been on the canvas all that much. Besides, he took that limited skillset & great difficulty in adapting/learning new tricks and clawed his way up to fighting the most elite fighters at present time.

RJJ vs Glen Johnson and RJJ is arguably the greatest of his generation, one of the greatest fighters to ever live and one of the greatest amateurs. Just overrall great right there for you and I use an all-time favorite of mine as an example because it's the best one to look at when you think of it. There are far more examples I can educate you with, there are fighters outside of England by the way, just incase you don't know yet.
