I was thinking this recently.
I was never really sold on Hatton and was not a fan but in hindsight he was better than I used to think.
I think Hattons body punches would have stopped Burns by the middle rounds.
If people have watched Burns from early in his career they may recall how troubled he was by Johanneson when hit with body shots

Idongo had Burn's reeling from straight lefts to the body as well, though Burn's is obviously an iron guy so he took em'.

 

Hatton is the bigger fighter and still one of the best at 140 pounds regardless his limitation. Burns made his mark mostly at 130 and 135.
Hatton would be too strong and too relentless for the smaller Burns. Even p4p wise I thought hatton is a better fighter.

 

Hatton was on a whole other level to Burns
