The fact he is trying shows his heart. I hope he wins.

dont get me wrong..I HOPE he wins...but i just think he has fallen too far and is not quite in the same leaugue or mental state as other fighters who have come back....the mental scars from Pacman must be pretty big...he was DESTROYED in that fight...and the mental state that allowed him to balloon up to what must of been nearly 100 kilos

I think he could very well get KO'ed tonight..

hope i am wrong..just expressing my opinion

People making predictions on this fight are ridiculous.

Fact of the matter is we have no idea what state Hatton is in, or how much his physical and technical attributes have declined. There is nothing whatsoever to base our opinion on.

Ok, he's been smashing coke, takeaways and booze for a while now so has presumably declined, but we have no idea to what extent and will find out tonight.

Thanks for posting the road to redemption video..

Just a side note and something that annoys the heck out of me in British commentary (I am British)...in the opening sentence it says "Ricky Hatton was the undisputed King of Las Vegas".....

    WTF...talk about over exageration

    More than welcome.

In his 2007 documentary the narrator described him as a modern day Ali... I was like wth... wouldn't go that far Mr Voiceover guy.

Man having watched that video now I dont think Hatton is in the right mental state to even be in a boxing ring....lovely guy and a true peoples champ but that doesnt take away from reality...

I have never heard a fighter with such a negative outlook....

Hope he comes out of this ok

I think he will be all right in this fight. Firstly his opponent is pretty slow and was outclassed by Mallinagi. Yes Hatton lost a massive amount of weight but this time he did it gradually over a longer span of time. He doesnt feel the pressure like he used to. Physically he will be slower but still much faster than his opponent. I predict a knockout for Hatton.

just finished the video...its worse than i thought...back yard gym with a trainer who does painting and decorating as his full time job and training on the side....all lovely people and it would be a nice story if gets a title back....but this looks a recipe for disaster to me..

Lara apparently gave Hatton a hiding in sparring, knocked him down a few times,im thinking even an old Hatton will have too much for senchenko but all the footage i have seen he looks so slow..

This isn't a good move by Ricky. Even if he wins tonight (and I suspect he won't) at some point he's going to get bashed up.

Fighters are NEVER the same after such a long layoff, and Ricky's lifestyle in that time has been far worse than most.

I remember betting on Danny Williams to beat Mike Tyson and everyone thought I was crazy, but only because they only remembered the Tyson of old, not what he was then. I have the same feeling about this fight.

As a side note I actually bet $500 on Bradley to beat Pacquaio as the odds were just so silly (9-1)...that was a nice bet although arguably Bradley didnt win but i wasnt complaining..

I´m hoping all the best for Ricky, but I´m also thinking that this will be tough for him. Serious weight loss like this is very dangerous. And this is not the first time either. But I will be cheering him on.

I totally agree. This will be an easy, early KO win for Senchenko, who is underrated because of a cuts loss to Malignaggi. Senchenko doesn't do well against crafty defensive fighters, but he does very well against fighters that come forward and attack.
