    1. People do things that don’t make sense all the time for all kinds of reasons. Not every action is rational.

    2. Sometimes people never overcome their environment or upbringing (although I don’t know if that was the case here).

    3. People who go into boxing tend to be risk-takers. Very rarely is someone one way in one part of their life (say work) and completely the opposite in the rest of their lives. Risk-takers take risks. They do things other people think through and say, ‘Nah, there’s got to be a better way.’ If they didn’t have that trait, they probably wouldn’t have decided to fight for a living.
