Buddy easily. Buddy was one of the best HW's of one of the best era's he retired at 26 before his prime. 60-5 by before he turned 26. Buddy was probably more talented than Max but he got less of a chance to showcase that. Rico won a lot of rounds against a 39 year old champion whose been losing a ton of rounds pretty regularly since he was 32-33. Starting with Chisora. Rico did not win or get robbed. He lost by KO and he would have lost if he'd continued and won the final round which he wouldn't have. Rico is high regional level at best.
Hard to say honestly. On one hand Buddy Baer doesn’t have any size disadvantage here and is an actual boxer. On the other hand he is from the pre-historic ages. I wanna say Rico, way more athletic and I think a kickboxer today isn’t that far behind a boxer of those times.

Rico and his two professional fights has more rounds in world championship bouts than Buddy Baer. That's funny.
Its amazing how the champion from the 30's has better punching technique and far better combination punching than the champion from the 2020's
