frazier would knock bowe out ....look how much bowe got hit by lite hitting pierre coetzer...look how many times holyfield wobbled bowe and put him down and joe frazier hits a lot harder then holy and coetzer....10 rd tko frazier
Ridiculous statement. Frazier was still on his feet after 6 knockdowns, I appreciate a lot may have been taken out of him, but he wasn't completely finished. Also where did Bowe get this mythical punching power from. Fair he hit hard, however he didn't hit as hard as Foreman. He's being made out to be some kind of killer, that's going to walk through anything Frazier throws. In regards to who hit harder, probably Bowe, but is they're really that much in it? Frazier has a 4 round stoppage over Chuvalo. I appreciate George was on his feet, however things looked pretty ominous for a man who is regarded to have one of the best chins of all time. He also has a win and a knockdown over Ali a lock 2nd best heavyweight of all time, with a chin right up their with Chuvalo's A thread arose around a year ago and I was stunned that virtually everyone was saying a 235 pound prime Bowe stops a 205 pound Frazier in the same manner as Foreman. News flash, Holyfield was outweighed 30 pounds by Bowe and took him life and death. I appreciate Frazier's chin isn't quite as good as Holyfield, but he had just as much heart as the latter and his opponent, and was harder to hit than both. Frazier also has a very noticeable speed advantage, I can envisage him going to town on Bowe's big juicy target of a body trying to wear him down, whereas Bowe being used to fighting much bigger men, would struggle to adapt and hit the awkward, slippery Frazier with superior regularity. Stylistically we give the nod to Bowe, that's a no brainer, but they're far more things to consider than size and style. I will take Bowe here by decision or late stoppage. I think both men may hit the ground within the first 6 rounds, but both have the heart to get up and carry on. If Bowe can't stop Frazier before the championship rounds he may run the risk of some serious late punishment, possibly getting stopped, but I think Bowe would hold on for the victory. You'll get the same people picking Bowe over Frazier that will also say Bowe is far to open to beat someone that weighed less than Smokin Joe, hit a little bit harder and shared the same first name. Some pretty weak responses to this thread if you ask me.
