Riddick Bowe Approaches Lennox Lewis For a Showdown

bowe is just trying to get some attention, and how do you do that? easy, you name the past greats that you know the fight won't happen. bowe is scared of lennox, plain and simple. he was literally shitting himself when he had to fight lennox in the 90's, and if lennox accepted now, which everybody in their own minds know he wouldn't, then bowe would find an excuse to not fight. probably money that he's saying he's giving to charity.

 

Bowe has taken too many punches...He had the perfect opportunity to fight Lewis back in the day but declined by throwing his belt in the garbage...All of a sudden he wants to fight him know??? Sounds like he's broke IMO!

 

You guys should give some respect to Riddick.. he was bad guy in his day. He was never stopped by journeymen like Lennox Lewish Or today Wlad Klitshko and this is coming from Lennox and Wlad fan...

 

Thats because he was never champ long enough to become complacent like they were. Nobody denies that Lews and Wlad were superior fighters to those that have beaten them. Lewis took two less talented but dangerous fighters lightly and gave them less respect than he really ought to have done. And as a consequence he paid a price that he should have never paid. Bowe was beaten up by Golota twice. Only for Golota being a nut case he'd have won a wide points decision.

 

That means nothing...When he had a chance to fight what did he do??? And Lennox Lewis is my All Time Favorite as well.

Bowe is so sad. Lewis doesn´t want to tarnish his legacy by coming back and kicking this sad messeses ass. If Bowe is trying to get fights with the likes of the Klitschkos, then maybe he shouldn´t be pulling out of all the fights that are set up for him. Maybe Bowe could find a small MMA promotion that would want to set him up for an asskicking cause of his name factor or maybe he could go into small time pro-wrestling like a washed up Leon Spinks did in the early nineties. I don´t see many good options for him to be honest.

 

Yeah it's hard to think of too many options. If he weren't brain damaged, I'd say he should line up a steady diet of bums (like old foreman did for a few years early on) and make some money off his name. I gotta think that there are medical reasons why hasn't done this already tho cuz he seems pretty much in need of cash. Therefore assuming there are some brain damage issues, i don't see what bowe can do. Can't see him being able to even assist with training other fightes so hopefully he can find some type of work he can live with
